Chapter 11

Sarah tells Louis that she felt nothing when she kissed Ashton and that she may still have feelings for Louis. Sarah breaks it off with Ashton. Louis tells Sarah he really likes Harry. Harry tells Sarah he really likes Louis but wants to see where things go with Alyssa first. Louis breaks up with Ray. Ray thinks he likes Sarah. The group doesn't speak to Sarah or Louis for the rest of the day. Sarah watches the boys sing Once in a Lifetime and realizes she loves Niall. Sarah tells Louis her plan. They tell the group they don't like each other like that. Sarah tells the group her plan to get Niall back.

It's the day after I told everyone, but Niall, my plan. The girls, Jake, and I just finished a song at the concert. "This last song isn't on our album. We decided to do a song that I wrote the other day. If you just listen to the lyrics, you can tell this song has a lot of meaning to me. This is My Heart is Broken," I say into the mic. (This is sung originally by Evanescence.) I look to my left and see all of the boys off stage there. Louis gives me a thumbs up as the music starts playing.

(Every time Jake sings, just imagine it in a guy range and voice. Most of these songs that Torn Silent sings are sung by women in real life.)

I sing, "I will wander 'til the end of time, torn away from you."

I sing, "I pulled away to face the pain. I close my eyes and drift away. Over the fear that I will never find away to heal my soul. And I will wander 'til the end of time. Torn away from you." I look over at Niall and see him smile at me. I smile back.

I look back at the audience. We all sing, "My heart is broken. Sweet sleep, my dark angel. Deliver us from sorrow's hold." (I sing the highest notes in all of our songs, incase you didn't figure that out.) Jake sings, "Over my heart."

Maya sings, "I can't go on living this way. But I can't go back the way I came. Chained to this fear that I will never find. A way to heal my soul. And I will wander 'til the end of time. Half alive without you."

We all sing, "My heart is broken. Sweet sleep, my dark angel. Deliver us."

Jake sings, "Change."

Alyssa sings, "Open your eyes to the light. I denied it all so long, oh so long. Say goodbye."

I sing, "goodbye."

Jake sings, "My heart is broken. Release me, I can't hold on. Deliver us."

We all sing, "My heart is broken. Sweet sleep, my dark angel. Deliver us. My heart is broken. Sweet sleep, my dark angel. Deliver us from sorrow's hold."

I can feel tears starting to form. I hold them in as we leave the stage. "Nice job, guys!" Zayn says. I push a smile to the boys before putting my mic back and going to the girls and my dressing room. I close the door and slide down the wall next to the door knob. I cover my face and start crying. "Sarah? What's wrong?" I hear Maya say a few minutes later. I hear shuffling. I look up and wipe away the tears. "That song brought up some emotions I've been pushing down for a while now," I say. Maya is sitting next to me on my left, Jake and Alyssa are kneeling around me. "As soon as the boys are done in there dressing room and with fans, we're going to go over and get Niall back for you. You have nothing to worry about," Alyssa says. "But what if Niall wants nothing to do with me? That song shows how upset I am without him. I don't know what I'd do if he didn't take me back," I say. "Sarah, trust me. You have nothing to worry about. Niall has been a wreck ever since you left him. He tells me every day how much he misses you and how much he regrets ever cheating on you," Jake says. "Really?" I ask. "Yea, really. Don't worry about anything," Jake says. "Thanks, guys. I'm glad I'm in a band with you guys and not some lame ass people," I say. "Awe. Thanks," Alyssa, Maya, and Jake say together. An hour or so later, the boys are finished with the concert. They're currently in their dressing room. I'm pacing back and forth, waiting for Louis to come and get us when they're ready and done with meeting with fans with VIP passes. "Would you sit down already? Pacing won't make time go faster," Jake says. I glare at him and say, "don't push me. I've never been this nervous before. So, don't try me." "I wouldn't bother her, if I were you. She gets really pissy when she's nervous," I hear a British accent say. I turn around and see Louis. "Oh thank god you're here. Are the rest of the boys done getting changed?" I say going over to him. "Yes, everyone is changed and ready to go back to the hotel," Louis say. The five of us go to the boys' dressing room. As soon as I walk in, all eyes are on me. "Niall, can you come here for a minute? I need to talk to you," I say. "Yea, sure," he says. We go into the hall, so I can talk to him alone. "What's up?" Niall asks. "Did you understand the last song we sang?" I ask him. "Yea. It was about me, wasn't it?" he says. "It was," I say. I take a deep breathe and say, "Niall, I love you. I loved you ever since I met you. I never stopped loving you. These two months have been terrible for me. I can't stop thinking about you. Like the song said, 'I will wander the end of time, half alive without you'. I can't stand waking up every morning and knowing you're not mine anymore. Knowing that you can be someone else's. I need you back in my life, Ni. I love you, and only you." Niall just stands there, starstruck. "Please, say something. Anything," I say. Niall comes closer to me and kisses me. I kiss him back. The fireworks that were missing with Ashton, are now there. I've missed having Niall this close to me. We pull away. "I love you too," he says. "Does this mean...?" I start. "Yes, this means we're back together and also engaged, if you still want to," he says his facing dropping slightly. "Of course I do. I still want to marry you," I say smiling. His entire face lights up. "Do you have the ring?" I ask. "I thinks it's back at the hotel," Niall says. "Okay," I say. He opens the door and Louis, Harry, and Alyssa all fall to our feet, since the door opens out. "Easy drop much?" I ask as they scramble to get up. We walk in. "Well?" Zayn asks. I look at Niall and smile. "We're back together," Niall says. I look at the group as they all start cheering. "Are you engaged or not yet?" Maya asks. I nod my head yes. "We are, the rings back at the hotel," I say. "No it's not. It's right here," Harry say holding out the ring. "How'd you get that?" Niall asks grabbing it. "I snuck into your room after you left for breakfast this morning and got it," Harry says. "Wait, how'd you know we were going to get back together?" Niall asks. Everyone looks at me. "I made a plan last night after the concert to get you back and got everyone in on it. Even some of the backstage crew and bodyguards," I say as Niall looks at me. "Of course you did," Niall chuckles putting his arm around my waist. Niall faces me and puts the ring on my ring finger. I smile up at him and hug up. He hugs me back. "I've missed you," I say. "I've missed you too," he says pulling away. I hear a knock at the door. Zayn answers it. I see Calum there. "Calum? I thought you were back in Australia with the guys," I say going over to the door. "I was told Alyssa was here. We're suppose to go  on a date," Calum says. I whip my head around and look at her standing next to Harry. Harry backs away from her, hurt plastered all over his face. I walk over to her and slam her to the wall, my arm pinning her neck to the wall. "You're cheat on my brother?" I ask. I hear a door slam shut. "It's just dinner," Alyssa says. "Oh yea sure, where are you going?" I say. She pauses then says, "The Mássele." (Completely made up.) "You son of a bitch. That's the fanciest place in Dublin," I say harshly. "Look, I'm sorry-" she starts. "Shut the fuck up. How long as this been going on," I say cruelly. "Three weeks," she says slowly. "Oh hell no," I say. I punch her straight in the face. "I'm going to make you wish you never met me or Harry," I say as harsh as possible. I punch her in the nose and make her nose bleed. I feel a pair of arms wrap around me and pull me back. "Let me go! She deserves what she has coming to her!" I scream. "You can't go and beat her up! She's your band member!" I hear Louis scream behind me, since he's the one keeping me from practically killing Alyssa. I stop struggling to get out and say, "I don't know about that anymore." I get out of Louis's grip and walk out of the dressing room. I hear Niall's voice down the hall. So, I follow it. I see Niall having Calum pinned to the wall, about to punch him. I run over there. "Niall, stop," I say grabbing his arm. "Why should I? He helped Alyssa cheat on your brother," he says. "None of us want you to ruin your reputation and beat up Calum. You two are best friends. Plus, I already gave Alyssa a bloody nose and a black eye," I say. Niall drops his arm and let's of Calum go. "I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean to hurt anyone," Calum says. "It's fine," Niall says. They bro hug. "You're not the one we're worried about," I say. "You better go, mate. Before the lads find you," Niall says. "Alright. Tell Harry I'm sorry," Calum says. "We will," I say. Calum goes to leave the stadium. I lean against the wall. "You alright?" Niall asks. "Yea, I'm just stressed," I say. "I'm here for you, Sar. I'm never letting you go, again," he says. I hug him. He hugs me back. "I'm never leaving you, again," I say. "I love you," Niall says. I pull away and say, "I love you too." "Come on. We should get back to the group," he says. "Oh my god, Harry!" I say. We go to the boys' dressing room. I see Harry with his head in his hands. Louis is on the left side of him and Liam's on the other. Zayn is standing in front of him. Maya, Alyssa, and Jake are no where to be seen. I go over to him. Liam gets up and let's me sit where he was. I sit down and put my hand on his back. I motion for the rest of the boys to leave. They leave the room. As soon as the door clicks shut, Harry bursts into tears. "Awe, Harry. Come here," I coo. Harry hugs me and I hug him back. I rub his back and try to calm him down. "Harry, it'll be okay. It's going to get better," I say. "I can't believe she would do this. I thought she loved me," Harry says pulling away. "She did. She did love you, Haz," I say. "What did I do? What did I do to lose her?" he sobs. "You didn't do anything wrong. You're an amazing guy. She's fucked up for cheating on you," I say. "I just can't believe she did that," he says. "Hey, nobody messes with us. If one of us gets hurt, so does the other. We'll get through this together. You're my big brother and I hate seeing you like this. I won't let this ruin you. It'll be okay," I say. Harry gets up saying, "what if it doesn't? What if this ruins my entire career? I can't go on knowing she cheated on me because I'm not good enough." I stand up saying, "oh no. Don't you dare think that. I think like that because I'm messed up in the head. You can not think like that! You're the sane one out of the both of us." He runs his hand through his hair. I put my hands on his arms and say, "you'll get through this. I'll be with you every step of the way. Come to me if you need to talk. I don't want to lose you, Harry." "I don't want to lose you either, Sarah," Harry says. "How about this? If either of us ever get upset or can't take it anymore, go to the other and talk. I don't care what I'm doing. If you need to talk, come to me and I'll drop whatever I'm doing," I say. "That's perfect," he says. "Look on the bright side, now you can focus on asking out Louis," I say smirking. "I could never do that. What if he says no? Or worse! He quits the band?" Harry says. I chuckle at that. "What's so funny?" he asks. "Trust me, you have nothing to worry about," I say. "What do you know?" Harry asks. I cross my arms and say, "secrets you can't know." "Sarah Ballard," he says. "Harold Styles," I say. I give him the "come at me" look. Harry rolls his eyes. We laugh as we leave the room. "You're in better spirits," Liam says. Harry has a smile on his face as we go to the cars. Zayn's in the passengers seat. Louis, Liam, and Harry are in the middle. Niall and I are in the back. Niall has his arm around my shoulder and I'm leaning into him. "Where did Maya, Alyssa, and Jake go?" I ask. "They went back to the hotel after you left the dressing room," Zayn says. "Oh great," I groan. "What's wrong?" Niall asks. "I really don't want to deal with them right now," I say. "Why don't you come through our room to get to yours?" Harry asks. "You don't mind?" I ask. "Of course not. Plus, we don't need you to beat up Alyssa any worse than she already is," Louis says. Niall and I spend the rest of the ride in silence. It's a good silence though. Just having him near me is perfect. When we get to the boys' room, I kiss Niall goodnight. Harry, Louis, and I go to their room. "Night, guys," I say. "Night," Harry and Louis say together. I smirk at Louis and mouth "get it" when Harry isn't looking. Louis blushes and mouths "shut up". I go into my room, closing the door behind me. I hear a knock at the main door of my room. "Come in," I say going to the dresser in the room. "Can we talk?" I hear Alyssa say. I turn to her. "Get out," I say. "Just hear me out," she says. "I don't care what you have to say! You cheated on my brother. You're lucky I don't break you're neck for that," I say as harsh as possible. "Sarah, I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking," she says. I pin her to the wall and say, "get out of my room or I swear to god you're not going to be able to walk out of here." I feel someone pull me away. "Get off me!" I yell. "Get out of here before she hurts both of us," I hear Louis say. She quickly walks out. Louis let's me go once Alyssa leaves. I go over to the dresser I'm using while we stay here. "You can't do that every time you see her," Louis says. I look at him and say, "I will until Harry stops me. He's torn up about it and she caused it. She's the one who causing my brother pain. She's not getting away with this," I say. "I know you're mad that she hurt Harry. I understand that. But hurting her won't make things better. All it'll do is ruin your friendship with her and tear your band apart. Do you want to make Maya and Jake suffer because of this?" Louis says coming to me. "God damn it. You're right, Lou," I say. "I'm always right, babe," he says. "Sure you are, Tommo," I say rolling my eyes. "I'm going to go back to my room. Please, don't beat anyone up," he says. "I'll try not to," I say. He goes over to the door to his room. "I love you, boo bear. You're my moon," I say stopping him. He turns around. "And you're my sun. I love you too, babe," Louis says. I smile at him and he smiles back. Louis leaves the room and closes the door behind him. I change into a maroon tank top and black booty shorts. I go to sleep thinking of my memories with the boys.
