Chapter 4

Niall came home. Ray, a high school friend of the girls, met the boys for the first time. Sarah and Louis made up.

It's two weeks into January. Torn Silent finally finished our album after weeks in the studio. And staying up till one in the god damn morning writing songs. Jake come to Harry and my flat about a week ago. Maya, Alyssa, Jake, and I are currently in Simon office, waiting for him. "What do you think Simon wants?" Alyssa asks. "Hopefully to tell us who we're opening for," Jake says. "I hope it's someone decent. I'm not spending almost a year with some bitch," I say. "Agreed," the three say together. My phone buzzes.

Niall: Any word?

Me: Nope. Still waiting in his office.

Niall: Text me when you know what he wants and when you're leaving, ya?

Me: Plan on it. I love you 😘

Niall: I love you too 😘

Niall's been acting distant lately. I have no clue why. He's on his phone more than usual and laughs at something then says it's nothing. I'm worried. Anyways, I hear the door open. I look over to the door and see Simon walk in. All four of us stand up. "Sorry about that. I was in a meeting," Simon says. "That's fine. Why'd you call us in?" Maya asks. To be honest, I'm actually nervous. I don't know if he's going to say he's going to cancel our contract or what. He just called me and said to get the band to come down to his office by noon. It's currently 2:30. "I wanted to tell you who you will be opening for and when your album will be released," Simon says. I'm pretty sure we all just let out the breathe we were holding. "So, who are we opening for?" Jake asks. "Well, I was thinking of you opening for 5 Seconds of Summer," Simon starts. Alyssa, Maya, and I look at each other and I'm pretty sure we all just internally screamed of joy. "But, then I changed my mind," Simon says. "Then who will we be opening for?" I ask. "The boys of One Direction," Simon says. The girls and I look at each other beyond excited. "Now, your album release. It's the 23rd today. How does the 30th of this month sound?" Simon says. "Sounds perfect,"Alyssa says. "Alright. Go rest your voices. You go on tour February 9th," Simon says. I nod my head. We say goodbye then leave. Once we get outside, my phone rings. "Who is it?" Maya asks. "Harry? This can't be good. He never calls," I say. I answer the phone. "Hey, Harry," I say cheerful as we walk toward the exit. "Don't hey me," Harry says clearly furious. "What's wrong?" I ask. What the bloody hell did I do? I think to myself. "Have you been taking you medication?" Harry asks. I stop in my tracks. "Sarah?" Alyssa asks. I wave her off. Oh shit. I stopped taking them since I got kidnapped. "Can we talk about this when I get home?" I ask as we continue walking. "Fine. But you aren't getting out of this," Harry says before hanging up. I put my phone in my back pocket. "Fuck," I mumble under my breathe. "What was that all about?" Maya asks. "Nothing. Harry just wants to talk to me about something when we get back," I say shrugging my shoulders. "You sounded pretty scared. You sure you it was nothing?" Alyssa says. "Yea. It was nothing," I say. The drive home I'm quiet. The girls and Jake can obviously tell something's wrong. Thank god no one mentions anything. When we walk into the kitchen, Harry is standing there. "Hey, babe," Alyssa says super happy. "Hey," Harry says giving her a quick kiss. I place my wallet on the counter. Maya goes to find Liam and Jake goes to his room to skype his girlfriend, Abby, from home. Alyssa, can you give Sarah and me a minute? I need to talk to her about something," Harry says. "Of course," she says. Alyssa leaves the room. Harry and I stand there in silence for a few minutes. Harry walks over to me. "Show me your wrists," Harry says. My wrists are bad. I have cuts up to my elbow on the bottom of my arm. Oh, also it's in both of my arms. I slowly push my sleeves up. "Sarah," he says. I currently have a bandaid over the fresh cuts. "You have to take your medication," he says. "I know," I say quietly. "Then why don't you?" Harry asks. I wipe away the tears rolling down my face. "I'm not worth the space or time," is all I say. I can't hold the tears back anymore, I'm fully crying. "Hey. It's okay," Harry says hugging me. I hug him back and cry into his chest. "You're worth it, Sarah," he says as I calm down. I pull away and wipe away the tears. "Promise me you'll start taking them," Harry says. "I will, Harry. I promise," I say. Doesn't mean the cutting is going to stop I think. Harry holds out the pill bottle. I grab it and walk around the counter. I fill a glass of water and put two of the pills in my mouth. I rinse it down with the glass of water. I place the glass in the sink. I turn around and face Harry. "I won't mention this to the group, if you don't want me too," Harry says. "Thank you," I say. I put the pill bottle back next the keys, where I always keep it. I hear multiple sets of footsteps run down the hall. I quickly push my sleeves down as the group walks in. "Will you tell us know what Simon wanted?" Liam asks. I feel someone grab my hand. I look over and see Niall. "You want to say it?" Alyssa asks. I look over at her. "Well, Simon told us who we're opening for and when our album will be release," Maya says. "Well?" Louis asks. "Well, what?" Alyssa asks confused. I face palm. I swear she's an airhead half the time. "Who are you opening for?" Zayn asks. "You guys," I say. "Are you serious?" Louis says. "Yup," Alyssa says. The boys don't need to say anything. Alyssa, Maya, and I can tell they're extremely happy and excited. Since they all have smiles on their faces. "So, when will your album be released?" Niall asks. "30th of this month," Alyssa says. "That's next week," Harry says. "Yea," Maya says. All of a sudden I think it hits the three of us at once, since Alyssa, Maya, and I look at each other. "That's next week," the three of us say at once. I give Niall a quick kiss as Alyssa does to Harry and Maya does to Liam. The three of us bolt out of the room. You may be wondering what's the big rush. Well, Alyssa, Maya and I need to plan out the album release party and go get the dresses. I close the door to my room. "Shopping," we all say like basic white girls (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, look up White Chicks). We burst out in a fit of laughter. We end up getting Ray come along. The doorbell rings 10 minutes later. I grab my wallet and keys from the kitchen. "I got it!" I hear Louis yell to us. Ray and Louis walk into the kitchen. Ray is trying so hard to keep her cool. "We're gonna go," I say to Louis. "Okay. Be careful," Louis says. "Will do," I say. We walk out of the house. The drive to the mall is loud, we're singing every song that comes onto the radio. Once we get out of the car, I lock the car and hook the keys to my key chain on my wallet. "Let's hope we don't get bombarded with the boys fans," I say. As soon as we walk inside, a group of 5 girls scream Maya, Alyssa and my names. "Spoke to soon," Alyssa says. Soon enough a group of people are screaming our names. We head into Macy's. We get the workers to close the store while we're there. "Thanks so much," Maya says. "Oh it's no big deal. If you need anything else just ask," a worker says. We go to find dresses for the album release party. "Oh my god! This dress is perfect!" Alyssa squeals holding out a flowery strapless dress. Ray picks put a strapless black dress with black leather at the top. Maya picks out a strapless, skin tight white dress. I pick out a skin tight black dress with a long sleeve on my right arm and no sleeve for my left. We all change into them. "Oh. Maya, Skandalist," Ray says. Maya keeps pulling the dress down since she usually never wears this stuff and it comes a quarter of the way down her thigh. I slap her hand away. "You look cute," I say. "Thanks. So do you," Maya says. I flip my hair, "I know." We burst into a fit of laughter. "We're gonna look so hot at the release party," Alyssa says look at herself in the mirror. "Definitely," Maya says. We all go back into our changing room. I take out my phone and send Niall a picture of me in the dress. There are three slits on the left side of the dress and you can see my tattoo clearly. I quickly change back into my regular clothes. I check my text from Niall as I wait for the rest.
