Today was the funeral. Man do the days go by. Mom had called yesterday telling me that I needed to sing there. I don't know why, but I said yes because I had the perfect song. Judy had called work saying we wouldn't be coming in for a few days. Nick was coming too. He was part of the family, Mom loved him like a son. I also left a note for Gideon telling him I wasn't home if he decided to come by.
                              AT THE FUNERAL~
Mom was at my right while Judy and Nick were on my left. Dad was being lowered , and I was called up. I took a deep breath. All eyes were on me as I began.
Tell me when the time we had slipped away, tomorrow turned to yesterday, and I don't know how. Tell me what can stop this river of tears, it's been building up for years, for this moment now. Here I stand, arms open wide, I've held ya close, kept ya safe, til you can fly. Tell me where the road ahead is gonna bend, and how to harness up the wind, and how to say goodbye. Tell me why, why does following your dreams, take you far away from me, and I knew that it would. Tell me how to fil the pace you left behind, how to laugh instead of cry, and how to say goodbye. Here I stand, arms open wide,  I've held ya close, kept ya safe, til you can fly. Tell me where the road ahead is gonna bend, and how to harness up the wind, and how to say goodbye.
Tears were streaming down my face as I finished up. Everyone else seemed to be crying too. I went over to mom and she hugged me as both her and I cried.
