Jordan made her way down the hallways of her new high school.
Whittaker High.
She had dreaded this day more than she usually dreads coming to school, seeing as today was her first day of high school.
The start of her freshman year.
The hallways were empty as she found her way to her locker. She had purposely overslept and arrived late just so she could avoid complete and utter humiliation first thing in the morning. Once she found her locker, she put all her books in then took out her schedule and headed to class. Just as she was about to take the first turn, she heard a familiar voice call her name and her heart sunk.
"Hey! Jordaaaan!"
The girly voice yelled. Jordan could already tell by the perky bitchiness in her voice who it was.
Ashley Gilbert.
The most popular girl to ever grace the hallways of everywhere! Jordan quickened her pace as she tried to get away from Ashley, but it was too late for she already felt a hand on her shoulder.
"And where do you think you're going, Smith?" Ashley asked in a bitchy tone, spinning Jordan around.
"T-to class." Jordan stuttered out. Ashley, already in cheerleading uniform on her first day here, looked Jordan up and down.
Jordan was wearing a ugly brown skirt that hung until slightly over her knees, a white, woolly jersey, long grey socks and dirty, white Converse. Her hair was pulled back into a messy bun and she was wearing her spectacles and braces. Ashley smiled, flashing her perfect teeth at Jordan, before flipping her blonde hair backwards. She bent down a little so her blue eyes were aligned with Jordan's green ones.
"What the hell are you wearing?" Ashley asked softly with raised eyebrows. Jordan didn't answer. She just looked down at her feet.
Ashley Gilbert was Jordan's enemy since day one. Okay, not enemy. Enemy implies that Jordan did equally bad things to her. No, Ashley was a bully. Jordan's bully. She does any and everything in her power to mess with Jordan and mess up her day. Everyone else finds it amusing, whereas Jordan didn't know how to deal with it.
"Hey, Smith! Answer her!"
Another voice suddenly said causing Jordan to jump as she spun around. It was one of Ashley's groupies.
Keshia Crenshaw.
Brown hair, green eyes, perfect features. The poster child for perfection. Jordan looked from Keshia to Ashley but still didn't answer.
"Okay, if that's how you wana go about this.." Ashley started then walked towards Jordan. She pushed her and Jordan fell against the locker, banging her head in the process. Her glasses fell down to the ground. Keshia laughed.
"Oh my God, you're such a weakling!" Keshia giggled. Then the two of them walked away.
"I'm not a weakling." Jordan spat out as she tried to get up, ignoring the pain in the back of her head. Keshia and Ashley stopped in their tracks before spinning around.
"What did you just say?" Ashley asked slowly, cupping her ear as she neared Jordan. Keshia walked around the side and pulled Jordan up.
"I said I'm not a weakling!" Jordan exclaimed loudly between clenched teeth as she glared at Ashley who in turn laughed.
"Oh yeah? Prove it." Keshia chimmed in before grabbing both of Jordan's arms from behind, preventing any movement. Ashley laughed as she lunges forward and began to punch Jordan in the stomach. When they saw blood emerge from her mouth, Keshia let go and she dropped down to the ground.
