CHAPTER 9: QUESTIONS

DANTÈ P.O.V

I walked away from Jordan and i couldn't help but feel angry. I had no idea why i just snapped at her like i did, but the way she looked at that leech made my blood boil.

God!

I came to a next to my bike in the parking lot. In a burst of anger, i kicked the wheel of my bike before running my hands through my hair is frustration. What the hell was happening to me? Did i seriously just get jealous over Jordan?

She was a leech! She's a vampire for crying out loud! She's supposed to be my enemy. I shouldn't let my feelings get in the way of that. Wait, my feelings? God, do i seriously have feelings for her?

A vampire?

Laughter bubbled up in my throat and i i started howling with laughter. No, there's no way i could possibly have feelings for her. The laughter faded and i shook my head with a small smile still playing on my lips.

It was probably just the presence of other vampires that made me angry. And she did make me look like a complete fool infront of them. How the hell could she say i was her boyfriend and then flirt with that leech?

My reputation is on the fucking line. The people at this school see me as some sort of god and i have no idea whether it's my leather jacket or the motorcycle. Or maybe just my good looks or intimidating aura.

And now Jordan made me look like a complete pussy in front of those blood suckers. And why the hell do i care anyways? I should get my ass home and tell my father about them. But what if they're one of the good ones? They seemed nice enough.

Jordan is probably gona start hanging out with them now. You know, being a vampire and all. God, i sound like i don't know shit about these creatures. But my mom made me realise that everything i was taught was a lie. Not all of them were the same.

I shook it off before walking back towards the school entrance. I opened the door, only to see Jordan still leaning against the locker, only this time Chris came back up to her and said something. She turned her head to the side and smiled at him.

And then he caged her between his arms and she straightened up, those hazel eyes of hers widening in surprise. Immediately my blood begun to boil as he smirked at her and before i could stop myself i was trudging down the hallway towards them.

It was empty and they were vampires so it wasn't like they didn't notice me coming. And this made me even angrier because they didn't even acknowledge me. Jordan was too busy gawking into that fucking leech's eyes. Gritting my teeth i walked right up to them.

I ducked under his arms and broke his hold over Jordan, shoving backwards in the chest. I was now standing between them, not really aware of what was happening as my anger had gotten the better of me. Chris smirked at me and it gave me the urge to punch him in the mouth.

"Chris, right?" I said with a fake smile, stepping closer to him so that i could look him right in the eye.

He smirked at me but didn't step back. Instead, he took a step forward, challenging me with his eyes. My anger was eating me alive but i kept my cool, not wanting the leech to know that he got under my skin. I glared at him.

"That's correct." He said smugly and i had to use everything i had to stop myself from staking him right there.

"Well, Chris, I would appreciate it if you stayed away from my girl." I said with a challenging smile, stepping into his personal space, causing his eyes to widen and take a step back.
