CHAPTER 13: CAST OUT

JORDAN P.O.V

After Dantè kissed me, i didn't know what to do. So i did what i did best in a situation like this; i ran away. I got on my bike and sped off, leaving behind Dantè and that stupid fucking school. I didn't look back even though i so badly felt the need to do so.

I found myself in the woods at my favourite spot. It was a simple rock on top of a hill that allowed me to be able to see most of our small town. I called it 'Think Rock'. I used to come here all the time before i left for New Orleans.

I jumped up onto the rock and sat down. Before i could calm myself down with the view, my wrist burst with pain. It was unbearable and i felt it up until my elbow. Again, like when i confronted Dantè i let out a few tears before pulling up the sleeve of my hoody.

And just..

Stared.

I stared in disbelief and horror. Because the tiny tribal symbol that only covered my wrist earlier, now reached all the way up to my elbow. I immediately recognized the pattern. It was the same as Christian's. My eyes widened as i stared in horror. When he kissed me, he must've done more than just show me his memories.

"I'm sorry about that."

My eyes snapped up to meet deep, forest green ones. Christian stood at the bottom of Think Rock with an apologetic smile on his face. I stared at him for the longest period of time, not sure what to do. He stared back at me patiently, waiting on me to say something.

"If you don't want any company right now, it's okay. I'll go." He said, taking a step forward, pointing over his shoulder.

I let out a sigh, shutting my eyes and turning my head up to the sky.

"No, it's okay." I said quietly before opening my eyes slowly and glancing at his curious face. "Please stay." I whispered and he shot me a small smile before hopping up on to the rock next to me and sitting down.

I scooted over slightly as he sat down and there were barely any space between us. Our legs were basically touching and the electricity between us was unbelievable. He didn't say anything. We just sat like that for a really long time. It was a comfortable silence that was really enjoyable.

"I'm guessing you're wondering bout that tattoo on your arm?" He finally said from beside me. I snapped out of my haze and looked at him.

I noticed for the first time that orange and yellow light broke out through the sky and lit up his face. It was sunset already. His green eyes stared back at me and i nodded because it was true. I was thinking about that stupid tattoo on my arm and how it got there. And then i realised another thing.

Nobody knew where Think Rock was, not even Brayden. My brow furrowed

"How did you..." I started slowly and he smiled softly.

"Find you?" He finished for me and i nodded. He turned his head and looked over the horizon. "That tattoo is exactly the same as mine." He said, lifting his muscular left arm to show me.

My eyes travelled over the curves and edges of the tattoo, taking it all in before looking at him with my brow furrowed.

"Can i see the rest of it?" I asked softly and he shot me an amused smile.

"If you wanted to see my topless, you could've just asked." He said playfully and i shot him a weak smile. He shot me one last smile before slowly pulling his shirt over his head and dropping it onto his lap.

"Motherfucker.." I breathed out as i took in the huge spirals of shapes and curves and edges, all connected together.

The design was intricate but i could somehow understand it. It looked perfectly formed, the lines so smooth and perfectly curved that you could immediately tell that it wasn't your usual tattoo. You could immediately tell that this wasn't done by human hands. It was huge and the dark ink snaked all the way up his left arm, covering every inch of it including his neck and right down his back on the left side.
