*BANG*
The Musain door burst open as Courfeyrac and Marius staggered in.
''Greetings loved ones!!'' They called across the room.
''Again, really?'' Combeferre asked. He was referring to the fact that this was the fourth night the pair had been drunk. Combeferre had been taking them home and making sure they were safe, and he was very bored by it. He had spent little to no time with Sophie, and she was his girlfriend for goodness sake!
''We're going somewhere... Will you accompany us?'' They slurred.
''Well, it all depends on where you're going. I'm not going further than The river.'' Joly replied. ''I'll die of a chill if I don't monitor myself properly.''
''We're going to the docks... If you know what I mean!'' Marius giggled, yes giggled.
''Urrgh Marius. That's disgusting; why did you tell me that? I'm your sister! I don't need to know things like that. And to answer your question, no. No I will not be 'accompanying' you.'' Sophie exclaimed. ''I will be staying here with my boyfriend, who I haven't seen all week because you two have been drinking more than you should for the past FOUR days! It's just not acceptable. I know Mama and Papa are out of town, but that is no excuse to behave like animals.''
''I think I'll pass.'' Joly stated. Combeferre put his arm around Sophie, kissed her forehead and said:
''I'm staying with my favourite girl. Not that I need the lovely ladies' services. Y'know?'' He turned to Sophie, ''I've never been down there.'' Sophie locked lips with him and they stayed entwined. Courfeyrac laughed.
''Look at them! They're kissing! Hahahahahahaha!!!'' Marius and Courf stood and pointed at them until Bahorel cleared his throat;
''I will come with you. Hopefully you will sober up on the way and I can convince you that this is a probably a bad idea.''
''Onwards!'' Marius and Courfeyrac linked arms and stumbled towards the door. ''Bye my friends and sister.'' Bahorel sighed and reluctantly followed.
AT THE DOCKS:
''I smell women. Smell 'em I n the air!'' Marius stated matter-of-factly. He leered at a lady with shaven hair, ''Lovely ladies I'll love you 'till I'm broke.'' He grinned like a pervert. Bahorel slapped him.
''We need to go home. NOW.'' The ladies approached, ready to earn money
''Lovely ladies waiting for a bite, waiting for the customers who only come at night'' The tall one at the front said as she crept closer. Bahorel gulped.
''Ready for the call standing up or lying down or any way at all.''
''Which way do you like it?'' A plump lady leered at Marius.
''I think we should go. I should reassure Sophie that I am alright.'' Little did he know that Sophie and Combeferre were enjoying the fact that they had a whole night together. Marius was the last thing on her mind.
''No.. this is fun'' Courfeyrac insisted.
''Bargain prices up against the wall!'' Courfeyrac lolloped over to her, grinning at Marius and Bahorel.
''lovely ladies waiting in the dark ready for a thick one or a quick one in the park long time short time any time, my dear.'' She whispered to him. Marus and Bahorel stood there awkwardly.
''What do we do?' We can't watch!'' Bahorel whispered.
''Turn around?'' Marius suggested.
''Old men, young men, take 'em as they come, harbor rats and alley cats and every kind of scum. Poor men, rich men, leaders of the land, see them with their trousers off they're never quite as grand. All it takes is money in your hand! A pair of women were talking by a ship. The taller, older-looking one seemed to be instructing the other.
''I think we should leave.'' Marius pulled on Bahorel's sleeve.
'I agree, but we can't leave Courfeyrac. Oh this is a nightmare. Why isn't Combeferre here to help?'' Bahorel whined. Combeferre was, at that precise moment, smothering Sophie in kisses; his mind elsewhere from the boys at the docks.
''I am going to turn around and see if he's umm... you know?'' Marius took a deep breath and counted to five. He turned around and screamed. Courf was standing right behind him.
''Hahahahahaha! I've been there for literally five minutes, waiting for you.''
''Why aren't you... umm..?
''I left my francs at home. So, she slapped me and I came back over here. This was a bad idea.''
''I suggest not telling Combeferre and Sophie about that, they'd never stop talking about it.''
''Ready to leave now you've realised your 'brilliant idea' wasn't so brilliant?'' Bahorel cut in. Courfeyrac and Marius nodded.
BACK AT THE MUSAIN:
Combeferre and Sophie had decided to go back to the café to spend time with Feuilly who they hadn't seen for ages. Bahorel, Courf and Marius shuffled in greeted by a slightly drunk Feuilly and a completely loved-up Combephie.
''Hello.'' Marius sent a rather flat greeting in the trio's direction.
''Nothing happened, did it?'' Sophie asked smugly.
''How did you know?'' Marius asked astonidhed.
''C'mon. You're my brother, we think and act alike.''
''You do.'' Combeferre agreed.
''I'm going to go.'' Slurred Feuilly. ''I'm going to hit the what do you call it? hmm... dcoks, that's it.''
''No. nobody else is ever to go.'' Bahorel groaned. 'I will get lumbered with making sure you sober up in time, because Combeferre and Sophie are more interested in each other nowadays. Now I will take Feuilly home, and then I will be having some time to myself for the rest of the week. Goodbye.'' He led a crying Feuilly out of the café. Marius and Courfeyrac also left.
''Ready to go home again?'' Combeferre smiled as Sophie took his hand and they cuddled up close, ready to embrace to cold night.
