KevEdd: After the years have past.

It is time.

Edd woke up on full panic. "How long did I sleep? It's light out. What the hell! I have to go now!!. I better not be too late!" Edd yells as he falls out of the van and runs toward his car. He gets the his car to see a post it note. "Hey sock head long time no see. Nice of you to finally stop ignoring us. Too bad this had to happen to get your attention. See you at the hospital, I hope." Edd throws the note in to his car and slams the door and speeds to the hospital.

"Where the hell is Double D? Eddy yells at Kevin and Nazz in the hall of the hospital. "How the hell can he not be here for this? He knows today is the day!" "Eddy calm down you idiot he will be here. He's the smart one out of you three. He will be here. If you don't stop yelling I'm going to pound you into the ground" Kevin yelled back Eddy went and sat down next to the hospital bed. "He will be here don't worry. He has to be." Eddy says as he starts to sob.

"Shit! Why did I take a nap? God damn it! I swear to god if I'm late. God damn it!" Edd is yelling and fighting back tears as he pulls into a parking spot and runs into the hospital. Edd runs up to the front desk. "Hi I'm running extremely late please help me!"
"I would say so Double D. I'm ashamed of you. Talking so long to get here." A familiar voice says. "Jimmy? Is that you? Wow, you became a nurse? That's awesome. Where is everyone?" Edd said with a tear running don his cheek.
"Room 813. But gather yourself. Don't go on there this mad and crying. It's not about you right now. He needs you to be there and be yourself" Jimmy says as he points Edd to down the hall.

Edd starts walking, wiping his cheek. "Where the hell have you been?!" Kevin and Nazz yelled together. " "I fell asleep! I drove 14 hours to get here I was tired!" Edd yelled back.
"Everyone shut the hell up! This is not the time or the place!" Sarah yelled from the room.

Everyone walked in the room and over to the hospital bed. Edd sat down and looked at Eddy. "I'm sorry it's been so long Eddy. I'm so so sorry." Edd sobbed. "Just be here now sock head." Eddy said without looking up at Edd . "he is here now Lumpy, like I promised. I got him here." Eddy said while holding the hand of his best friend who's been frozen in a coma for almost 2 months. "I'm here Ed I am here. We're all here." Edd grabbed his other hand.

"It's time" everyone turned to see the doctor and Jimmy standing in the doorway. "Eds parents orders were clear if there is no sign of improvement after 50 days, the plug is to be pulled. His only known request was to be surrounded by all his friends when he was dying. "We're ready now Doctor" Sarah said crying so much her face was soaked. Everyone gathered around as Jimmy began to unplug the monitor and pull the vent tube out of Eds mouth.

The monitor flat lines and Ed takes his last breath. Everyone looked at his lifeless body and the room fell silent.
"I can't be here anymore!" Edd screams and ran out with tears falling down his face so hard he could hardly see.
