*Writer's POV*

You and Mari left the room and headed downstairs. You headed into the living room and few creepypastas remained. Mari left the mansion and you followed quickly.
"Does Jack know I'm killing with you?" You asked hesitantly. Mari looked back at you and smirked.
"Nope!" She turned and looked ahead again. "Did you bring your knife?"
"U-uh, yeah!" You clumsily sticker your hand in your hoodies pocket and cut your hand. You tried to keep in your pain as you and Mari headed into the forest. Mari looked back at you and stopped.
"Are you okay?" Mari asked. You looked at your hand and it was covered with blood. You nervously chuckled and told her what happened. Mari nodded and started walking, but more faster than before. She took a sharp turn and you struggled to keep up. You were trying to be careful since you had your knife in your pocket and you didn't want to stab yourself on accident.
"We're almost there don't worry." Mari said quietly as she ran up to a single tree in a field. She marked the tree with her knife and faced you.
"If you get lost, look for this tree." She commanded you to mark the tree with your own knife and you did so. She continued running up a hill and once you reached the top, you saw a whole neighborhood. Mari looked up at the sky for a moment and the continued running again. The stars, huh? You thought. You followed after Mari and found her hiding in a dark corner, outside a house.
"Look at the house... Do you see anything?" Mari asked quietly. You stared at the house's wall and tried to see anything. The lights were on, but that's all you could notice.
"The lights are on?" You asked more than stated. Mari nodded and shook her head. She pointed at the corner of the house, where a deep slash was made. You barely noticed it.
"That means someone was already here and killed the people inside." Mari informed. "We started this thing where we would mark the house to show that someone already killed inside." You nodded and kept silent. She walked over to another house and asked you if anyone killed there yet. You scanned the walls and corners and saw nothing. You shook your head and Mari nodded.
"Do you see anyway we can get in?" Mark asked. It feels so much like a test... You thought as you scanned the surroundings of the house. The fence was in tact, no holes to crawl through. The lights were on, perhaps they are still awake.
"Can we climb the fence?" You asked. Mari nodded and held her finger to her mouth. You nodded and started to climb the fence. As you grabbed onto to the smooth wood, it creaked and you flinched. Mari smirked and effortlessly jumped over the fence. You made a face and continued to climb the fence. Once you were on the other side, you saw Mari looking at the house.
"Finally here?" Mari teased. You stayed quiet and waited for instructions.
"What are you waiting for? Go kill!" Mari said. You stood there awkwardly, without a word.
"Just make sure they are dead and leave once it's over." Mari said. "I'll meet you back here when I'm done." She left to a window and opened it with ease. You decided you should do the same and you went to another window. You pulled at it, but it wouldn't budge. You kept tugging at the seal, but no progress was made. You decided it would be easy if you just went through the window Mari went through, so you did. You stepped inside the house and heard a muffled scream. You jumped a bit and knocked into something. You fell back and looked up.
"Why are you here?" A little child asked you sleepily. Your eyes widened and you got up. The child pointed at your hand and sucked on his thumb.
"Your hand bleeding? Are you hurt?" The child kept asking questions. You backed away and bumped into something else. It was Mari. She nodded toward the kid and you realized what you had to do. The child took one look at Mari and his eyes widened.
"M-mon-monst-" he only stuttered in that word and tears slowly filled his eyes. His faced was contorted with fear as he backed away unsteadily. You watched the child as he tripped and fell to the ground.
"M-mommy! D-d-daddy!" The child cried out, but there was no response. You stepped forward and took a breath. I have to do this... I'm a creepypasta now... You thought. You slowly pulled out your knife and looked at the child sadly. He merely stared at the knife and kept stuttering. You stepped closer to the boy and he scooted back.
"Monster, stay away from me!!" Tears ran down the boy's cheeks and fell to the ground.
"Do it." Mari's voice was dark. You looked at your knife and held it up. You mouthed the words 'I'm sorry' and you stabbed the child in the chest. It took a lot more force than you expected to pierce through his body. His eyes widened in pain and a small cry was let out of his mouth. Blood splattered on you and the ground causing you to flinch.
"Finish him." Mari laughed insanely. Your eyes widened in surprise. You never heard Mari talk like this.
"Slit his throat and arms!" Mari laughed. You wanted to look back at Mari, but you were scared to. You pulled out the knife and placed it at his throat. With one swift movement blood gushed out of his throat and his life ended. Blood covered your hands and knife.
"So... Beautiful...." Mari whispered. You dropped your knife and turned to look at Mari. She stood there with her bloody hands holding her face. You could still hear her quietly giggling. Is that how you become when your insane? You thought. Is that how I will become?
"Let's go..." Mari said and walked away. You followed and passed by the room she was in when she killed. You stopped at the door and took a peek inside. Your eyes widened and you choked on the smell of blood.
There were three bodies. Two adults and a teen. The father was hung up on the ceiling fan. His arms and throat were brutally stabbed and his face was distorted. The wife was on a chair. Her arms dangled awkwardly from her body and were purple. Her stomach was cut open and her entrails were wrapped around her. The teen was on the floor. Her fingers and toes were torn off and scattered across the room. Her chest and stomach was ripped open and all of her organs were jumbled. Her eyes were out of her sockets and there were Xs on her face.
"Like my masterpiece?" Mari giggled from behind. You jumped and turned around. Mari walked toward the window and jumped outside. You looked back at the room and tears filled your eyes.
"I'm sorry..." You left and followed after Mari in the darkness of the night.
