*Your POV*

I woke up to the sound of rustling sheets. I sat up and stretched, feeling very heavy and tired. I couldn't sleep very well, huh? I thought and rubbed my eyes. I stood up slowly and felt my arms and legs ache. I looked over at Mari's bed and saw her sleeping peacefully. How could she sleep so well after killing a whole family? I asked myself. I looked at my hands and for a second I thought they were stained with blood.
Just to make sure there wasn't blood, I went to the restroom and washed my hands. I looked in the mirror and sighed. My (h/c) hair was all tangled up and my eyes started to get black circles. I closed my eyes for a second to rest them and when I opened them... I saw him... The little boy I killed last night... I jumped back and bumped into the wall. The boy disappeared within a second.
"Why is he still here?" I asked myself out loud. I looked around and peered behind the shower curtains. No one was there. The boy wasn't there.
"He's dead..." I told myself. "He isn't really here..." I repeated this, trying to convince myself. After the third time I said it, there was a knock at the door. I froze and looked at the door in fear.
"He's not real. He's not real. He's not re-" The knock came again, but more firmer.
"(Y/N)?" Mari's voice sounded from the other side. She yawned and called again. "(Y/N), are you in there?" I just stood there, still frozen. I couldn't move. I just couldn't. The door clicked and opened slowly.
"(Y/N)~" Mari's head peeked into the restroom and smiled sleepily. Blood still stained her face and hands. The screams of the family started to ring in my ears. My eyes widened and tears started to prickle in my eyes.
"M-Mari, they won't... They won't leave me alone..." I whispered. Mari made a confused face and tilted her head.
"Who won't leave you alone? Is someone bothering you?" She asked, her sleepiness fading away. I shook my head and tears ran down my cheeks.
"The family...." I choked out. "The little boy..." Mari looked at me and opened the door all the way. She walked inside and stood in front of me.
"Get away!" I yelled out. "Get away!" Mari didn't step back. She stepped closer to me. I tried to push her back, but she kept walking forward. She wrapped her arms around me slowly. I stopped moving and froze in place. She hugged me tightly and wouldn't let go.
"(Y/N)... I know this is hard... This is hard for all of us..." Mari whispered. "But... You're just going to have to get used to it..." With that Mari, gently guided me to Jack's room and she went back to her own. I stood in front of Jack's room and sighed.
"I have to get used to it, huh?" I mumbled under my breath. I took a deep breath and knocked on Jack's door. I tried to run my fingers through my hair to make it look decent. He opened the door and quickly closed it. I stood there confused and heard some rustling behind the door. The door opened again and Jack stood there with his mask on.
"What's up, (Y/N)? It's really early..." Jack mumbled.
"I need to train..." I said. "I have to get over this... I need your help." Jack nodded his head and grabbed his hoodie. He still wore his pajamas pants, but wore his hoodie. He grabbed a random knife and walked down stairs with you. The mansion looked deserted during the morning and it sorta gave off a ill silence. I went to kitchen, got a knife and left the mansion with Jack.
"You fixed the hoodie?" I asked to break the silence as we walked toward the arena. Jack looked down at his hoodie and nodded.
"Mari fixed it up for me." Jack said and continued walking. As the arena came in sight Jack asked, "so why do you need help?"
"I need to forget the boy... I need to stop feeling terrible." I answered and followed him to the middle of the plain. Jack nodded and held his knife. I tightly gripped my knife and got ready.
"I just noticed you're still in your pajamas." Jack chuckled.
"I know..." I ran to right the head towards Jack's back. He turned and tried to block my attack. He pushed me back, but I still cut his arm. Jack didn't look down at his arm and kept his attention on me. I need a distraction, I thought. Jack raced forward me and I moved to the left quickly. At the same moment Jack turned left and sliced at me. I jumped back as soon as I saw him turn and barely made it out of his reach.
"Good job with dodging that." Jack praised. I can't let him take my focus off. I ran around the arena, trying to get his focus off of me. He merely watched me as I ran. When his back faced toward me I streaked forward and slashed at his back, ripping his hoodie and shirt. I looked closer and saw a little blood.
"If you're going to kill someone, you'll need to cut harder." Jack said. "Most of your victims could be more clumsy and unfocused, which is easy to kill. Some can be weak, but will try to defend themselves however they can. You need to be prepared to kill them." I nodded and Jack went on. "When you kill, you mostly want your victim not expecting you. That'll make it easy for you to kill them."
"Alright..." I said. Jack touched his back and looked at the blood. He nodded and put his knife away.
"We'll train later..." Jack left the arena and I followed. I put my knife away and my stomach growled. I blushed and kept walking like nothing happened.
"I guess we can get breakfast as well." Jack mumbled. I nodded and smiled. In the corner of my eye, I saw something. Not just something, someone. It was the little boy. I blinked and he disappeared. I shivered and tried to push the thoughts of him away. I need to forget about him soon or I'll go crazy.
