*Writer's POV*
You and Jack entered the mansion and went straight to the kitchen. In the corner of your eye, you saw something being dragged away with a red streak staining the floor. You looked away and tried to focus on Jack instead. He was going through the fridge and pulled out a sandwich.
"Here." Jack handed it to you and he headed up stairs. You followed him with the plate in your hands, wondering where he was going. He walked into his room and entered his closet.
"Jack?" You called out from his door. You heard a jar opening and some noise. "Jack, what are you doing?" You asked again. He turned around and wiped his face underneath his mask. His hands were covered in blood and he quickly wiped them on his hoodie.
"What were you doing?" You asked curiously.
"Uh," he scratched his head and turned away. "Nothing. Just eat your sandwich." You made a face and pouted.
"I'm not gonna eat until you tell me." You declared. Your stomach growled, but you ignored it. Jack sighed and closed the closet.
"I. Was. Eating." Jack said. You gulped and nodded. You looked at the sandwich and wondered what was inside.
"It should be fine, (Y/N)" Jack mumbled. You grabbed the sandwich and took a bite out of it. You wolfed down the food, forgetting Jack was still there. Once you finished it, you looked up at Jack and blushed.
"Eh, sorry, I was just really hungry..." You said in embarrassment.
"It's okay. I've seen worse." Jack laughed and put his hands in his pockets. You placed the plate on his counter and stood there awkwardly. Minutes of silence passed. Jack merely stood around and glanced around his room.
"So, uh, is your back okay?" You asked trying to make conversation. Jack looked at you and touched his back.
"Oh yeah, Mari helped me with it." Jack said. For some reason your stomach dropped when he said her name.
"You and Mari seem really close, huh?" You said without realizing.
"Oh yeah, we've known each other for years now." Jack replied. You nodded and walked around, staring at the floor.
"Why?" Jack asked suddenly and you stopped moving. You looked at him and smirked.
"You and her just seem to be very close. Like you rely on each other a lot." You said and continued walking around. Jack grunted and walked towards you.
"Do you think Mari and I are together?" Jack asked. You looked up at him and made a face. You shook your head.
"Well, I don't know." You said. "She says she loves someone else." Jack slowly nodded his head and walked out of his room. You followed him and kept silent. He went down the stairs and entered the kitchen. It was empty.
"Ops, I left the plate." You muttered under your breath and ran back up to Jack's room. You passed by some lingering pastas and you tried to hide your face from them. You reached Jack's door and another door opened. It was Mari's door. Mari walked out and rubbed her eyes and stretched. She glanced at you and smiled. You just wanted to get your plate, so you tried to walked into Jack's room, but she stopped you.
"Hey, (Y/N)..." Mari grabbed your arm lightly. "What are you doing in Jack's room?" You looked away from Mari and shook her hand loose.
"Just gonna get a plate I left in there. Sorry if I woke you." You mumbled embarrassed. Mari tilted her head and laughed quietly.
"Any noise would wake me anyway, it's not your fault." Mari tugged at her pajama shorts. You saw a long scar on her thigh, but she quickly covered it with her shorts. You quickly changed your attention and walked into Jack's room. You walked to the counter and swiftly picked up the plate and left the room. Mari was heading towards the stairs and you past her. She stared at you as you ran down the stairs and she continued heading down.
"Hey, Jack?" You called as you walked into the kitchen. He was sitting at the kitchen counter and he looked up at you. You placed your plate in the sink and stood next to him.
"What's up?" Jack sat up.
"Nothing.." You replied. You glanced around and saw Mari coming down the stairs. She walked over to the fridge and sighed. Mari walked over to the over side of Jack and smiled at him.
"Good morning, Jackie~" She greeted.
"It's not morning anymore, Mari." Jack chuckled. Mari's eye widened and she jumped.
"What? It's not morning anymore?" Mari asked quickly. You stood there and looked around, wondering if there was a clock or something. Jack looked down at his watch.
"It's 1:03... Pm." Jack mumbled. Mari sighed in relief and Jack scooted over on the stool and patted a seat for Mari. She slumped down and rested her head on the counter.
"What? Is something supposed to happen?" You asked. Mari looked at you and stretched her arms across the counter.
"Mmmm, I have to have a meeting with Slendy and the proxies." She replied as she tugged at the bandages on her arms. Jack pulled her hand from the bandages and sighed.
"Another sighting?" Jack asked as he kept her hand from pulling her bandages. Mari nodded and quit trying to mess with her arms.
"Sighting?" You asked and felt stupid.
"Yeah, like, uh the future sightings or something.." Mari scratched her head and continued. "Mmmm, I don't know if I should say this or not, but it has something to do with you.." Mari sat up and leaned on Jack. He just responded by petting her head. You said nothing. Why would the future include you?
