At 8:30 I looked over my outfit before giving myself approval, and placed clear lip gloss on my lips. I heard someone knock on my door before they came in, and peered over my shoulder and saw my dad standing there. "You look lovely, where to? Another date with that boy?"
He gave a low growl when he said 'boy', and I winced at the disapproval my dad clearly had of Jason.
"For the last time, his name is Jason, and no it's not a date. He wants me to meet someone."
He had confusion written all over his face, "Who is this someone?"
I shrugged and grabbed my shades and phone, "Dunno, that's why I'm meeting them." I kissed his cheek, walking past him down the stairs where he followed.
"It shouldn't be long, so I'll be home say 30 minutes?" I partially was asking for permission, and he nodded granting it to me.
"Ok, but keep your phone in your hand in case of emergencies."
"Okay dad, I'll see you later."
I pulled up to Tasty to see the parking lot empty except for one black car, which was strange because Friday's are usually busy days. I walked inside and rung the bell, and smiled brightly when Jason came around the corner. He placed a kiss on the side of my mouth, before kissing my forehead.
"Hey beautiful." His smile sent a shiver down my spine.
"Hey there, so who did you want me to meet?" I questioned looking around seeing it was just us alone in the diner.
His face was serious as he stared me in the eyes, "He's coming." Ah, so it was a he. I replied okay, and took a seat one of the stools.
We waited in awkward silence as I felt something was off with him, so I didn't start a conversation and gave him one word answers when he tried.
The door opened and in stepped one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen. What's with this town and beautiful people? I hopped off the stool, and tried to look professional. He locked eyes with me as the corner of his mouth tilted up into a smirk.
"So you are the Raelynn I've been hearing so much about?"
I nodded shyly, sticking my hand out for him to shake. "I wish I could say the same, but I have no clue who you are." I laughed nervously, and he tilted my hand and kissed the back of it.
Suddenly I felt like I needed to leave. I felt the urge to turn and run away and never look back.
"Ah, what a shame," he straightened his back, as danger began to write across his face. "My name is Xavier."
