*Nat's POV*
It was raining. It always rains in New York. Nothing new about that. It was around 4 in the morning. I was closing up the shop when I heard a voice yell something along the lines of, "Why are you here?!"
Or something like that... I've lived here all my life and I know that at 4am when you hear that on the streets of New York, it's never a good sign.. So I decided to check it out.

I look out the window to see a man around the age of 20 put a rag over a women's mouth. What the fuck. I grab the still hot coffee and I run out and pour it over his head and kick him in the dick. Weak I know... But hey. I'm a 21 year old scrawny guy. What am I gonna do? The guy tries to hit me but I give him a blank stare and punch him in the face. He blacks out. But I notice this beautiful girl. She's unconscious.. I slowly carry her bridal style into the cafe and set her down on the couch in the back room. She's absolutely stunning. Her bleach blonde hair put up into a messy bun. She was wearing black skinny jeans, a my chemical romance tee shirt and black converse. She was into bands I see. I like it..
"I hope she's okay" is all I'm able to think for the next hour and a half. I decide to text my little brother and tell him I won't be home until later. You see, me and my brother live alone basically. Our parents are out of town almost the whole year around except for Christmas and thanksgiving. It sucks but we've learned to live without them. You'd expect us to have girls over every night and party all the time but we aren't like that. We're actually losers in my opinion. We make music in our studio in the house. We've been in a few movies as well. But never the main character (yes I know that
Nat was the main character in paper towns but this takes place before that.) As I put my phone away she wakes up. And suddenly I'm hit with her beautiful blue eyes. Damn.
Another sucky chapter I'm sorry. It will get better but I have to introduce them and talk about how they met and stuff. I promise in the next 5-7 chapters it will get a more more interesting.
