*Jen's POV*
"I would love to get to know you but uhm, where the hell am I and what am I doing here?" I ask Nat
Nat explained everything to me. This man saved my life...
"Nat, you saved my life. Thank you.." I said I awe
"Awe it's no problem, really. I couldn't just leave you. You're too beautiful." He said.
I started to blush. All my life I've been hated. James would always hit me and force me to have sex with him, I had a few friends but we all went our separate ways after high school, and my family.. I don't know what family feels like. My dad abused my mom and she committed suicide when I was 4 and my dad ran away. It was just me and my 2 year old sister. It was raining hard that night at home. Kind of like how it was raining here. I hated rain. It brought back too many memories. That night at home I heard a loud bang. I assumed it was just thunder. But then I saw red and blue flashing lights. I was 4 years old, but I still knew what it was. My mother had shot herself that night. She was dead. My sister and I got sent to an orphanage the next day. But she was so young that she got sent to a different orphanage and I haven't seen her since. I've learned to live by myself since then. I miss you Chloe.. Chloe was 2 years old but even then I knew she loved me. I was in that nasty orphanage for almost 12 years after that. I attended public school but nobody knew I was an orphan. Nobody wanted me. That's when I went to music for help. I started listening to these bands. It seemed like they loved me. But they didn't even know me.. When I was around 16 I got the okay to buy an apartment. I moved to New York. Away from everyone. I loved it here. But I was so broken. I hope Nat didn't notice how broken and sad I was..
"Thank you for saving me, but I should go. It was nice meeting you. Goodbye Nat.." I said.
But then I heard him say,
"Wait! Jen let me drive you home. The streets aren't safe."
"Nat really, I'm fine. I live really close. I'll be okay" I reassured him
"I don't care. Get in the car and tell me your address. Better safe than sorry" He said.
Normally I'd feel mad and think he was being rude. But I couldn't help but blush. I felt loved and like someone cared about me. This feeling was something I've never felt before. I loved it.
"Okay. Thank you, Nat." I said with a smile.
"No problem." Was all he said.
The car ride was silent. Until he asked me if he was at the right house. I nodded and got out. But he gently grabbed my arm.
"Hey Jen, can I give you my number? I'd love to get to know you more" he said
So I gave him my phone and he punched his number in. I shut the car door and made my way up into my messy apartment.Another bad chapter I apologize but these first few chapters are just fillers.
