Keeping Watch

First Person POV
"I should head back soon" I thought as I yanked out my weapon from the Beowulf's head before it turns to smoke
"That Dragon really summoned a lot, but it's all gone now" I thought as I was walking back to Beacon
"I wonder how General Ironwood is doing?" I thought as I was now walking towards Ozpin's room, I knocked
"Come in" I heard Ozpin respond, I walked in and saw him, Glynda and Winter
"Sorry, I must be in the wrong room" I said as I was gonna walk back
"Where do you think you're going?!" Glynda and Winter shouted at me, I chuckled a bit before I went in the room and closed the door
"Calm down, otherwise I'll think you two are sisters" I said as I walked beside Ironwood
"You seem to be doing well" Ironwood said to me
"I could say the same to you" I replied before I looked at Ozpin
"There was a Dragon hiding in the Emerald forest, and the amount of Grimm has increased. I have already killed the Dragon but I want a extensive search in the while area" I requested to Ozpin, he just nodded
"A dragon... Okay, I will request a extensive search, will you help me, James?" Ozpin asked Ironwood
"I only brought enough just for teaching the students, but I think I can send Schnee" He sais, I looked at Winter
"I understand Sir!" She answered with a salute
"When will we start?" Ozpin asked
"We start now" I said as I was gonna leave, Winter followed
"You stay here, Glynda. I want you to keep a close watch on the students at Haven, they're suspicious" I said as I closed the door and headed to the forest with Winter
"Why did you request for help? You could've done this without breaking a sweat" Winter asked me, I looked at her
"It would be boring to do this all alone" I answered her, she didn't seem to take my answer
"It's about Weiss, I should say" I said to her, she looked at me seriously
"What about her?" She asked
"She really doesn't talk much about you" I said
"You probably don't talk much to her then" She burned me
"Okay, you got me there" I said to her
"I guess you could say that this is a request from me, please help her master her glyphs. And teach her a little thing about love I guess, since her boyfriend's a douche" I said to her, she looks at me confused
"What makes you think I know about a thing like love?!" She exclaimed to me, I kicked the Beowulf's head that was gonna attack her
"Should I say about your unrequited love to the General?" I said to her, she blushed like crazy
"Okay! Fine!" She agreed, I smirked and continued walking then we reached a nest, then I saw a dragon fly above
"Here we are, dragon number two" I said as the dragon went down, it growled at us
"Can you summon a dragon once you've defeated it?" I asked Winter
"Don't belittle the Schnee Family's Glyphs" She answered as we pulled out our weapons
"Let's make this short" I said as Winter stuck her sword to the ground and froze the dragon's feet
"It was already over when it got down" Winter said as I walked up to the dragon and raised my sword high, then slashed it down with all my might
"Indeed" I said as the dragon got split in two and the nest destroyed
"I guess that's the end of that for now" I said as Winter nodded and we went back
"It's already this dark, did we really walk a lot?" I said as I looked at the skies, then I saw a huge Atlas machinery run about, Winter was gonna charge at it but I stopped her
"Why are you stopping me?!" She asked, I pointed at Ruby and her group
"Let them grow up, it's not good to always take out their troubles" I said as she just gritted her teeth while we walked back
"How can you be so sure that they'll win?" She asked me as we were going up to Ozpin's office
"Because I taught them" I answered as I opened the door and let her enter first
"Just in time" Ironwood said, Winter saluted, I went in and closed the door
"Where's Glynda?" I asked Ozpin, he looks outside
"She said she was gonna check up on the students at Haven" Ozpin answered
"I see, then I shall find her then" I said as he nodded before I left
"Cinder..." I thought as I ran everywhere just to find her walking back to her dorm, I ran up to her
"Wifey!" I said as I hugged her, she was shocked and kept on struggling
"L- let go! Y- you i- idiot!" She said as she was trying to escape, I let go and smiled at her
"What's wrong with you?!" She questioned me, I looked at her sincerely
"I just wanted to say this one last time" I said to her, she looked at me confused
"Glynda, I love you" I said to her, she was shocked
"But I feel like you don't want me here, so I'm gonna be leaving after this school year" I said to her as I turned away and was about to leave, she grabbed my hand
"Don't go..." I heard her say, I then felt arms wrap around me
"I love you as well... So please don't go" She pleaded, I felt a tear drop down my cheek then I smiled a bit
"Heh... Okay, I guess I won't leave after all" I said as I thrned to her and hugged her back
"I never would have guessed that you would like me" I said as we pulled away from the embrace
"And I never would have thought that you would take me seriously" She to me with a smile, it was the first time I saw her smile
"But don't get too happy just yet, I don't plan on having kids mid-way through the school year!" She demanded, I chuckled a bit
"Don't worry, I know how to wait" I reassured her, she surprised me when she quickly kissed my lips but pulled away fast
"You can take that as assurance that I really do love you" She said, I smiled as she blushed cutely
"Thanks. I'll always remember it" I said as I lightly kissed her forehead before we each walk to our dorms and rest
