You loved your job. Not only you get to make videos and record with your friends and have an amazing time with them, you loved how Adam was apart of it, of everything.

You, Adam, Red, and Tim finished recording an episode of Do Not Laugh, and since the rotation ended up with Adam having to make you laugh, you thought it was a dream come true.

You've liked Adam for a while, but him being your boss, it never really occurred to him dating one of his co-workers.

"Hey Adam, funny jokes earlier." You commented walking past his office. Adam looked up from his computer and smiled.

"Thanks (Y/N)." He chuckled turning around in his chair. "(Y/N) I have a question to ask you." He then asked.

You stopped at Adam's door, pulling your attention to him.

"What do girls like on a date?" Adam asked rather casually. You raised an eyebrow, shocked as to what clues were presented in his question.

Is he dating someone?

Or is he being that guy from fanfictions who ask the girl he's had a crush on to seem like he doesn't really like her.

"Uhm, well you have to do your best. Dress nicely and be the gentleman." You shrugged giving him an honest answer. Adam nodded smiling.

"Alright, thanks a lot (Y/N)." Adam said turning back to his computer.

And that's when that little talk ended. You went back to what you were doing, brushing off the fact that Adam might have a girlfriend...

...and not have a crush on his co-worker.

You had hope. It wouldn't hurt to try, but now you're skeptical about Adam.

*a week later*

It was a normal day at work, except Adam wasn't in the office. You noticed it, but didn't want to question it.

An hour later, Adam came walking in with a huge smile on his face..and a girl under his arms.

Not gonna lie, she was pretty as fUCK. But there was that feeling of hurt you felt in the pit of your stomach. You really didn't want to show it.

"Hey guys!! This is my girlfriend, Alesa." Adam introduced the girl. Alesa waved shyly and everyone welcomed her.

Girlfriend.

That word almost killed you. Now knowing you have to move on after liking someone for so long is harder than the video you're editing in for next week.

Of course secretly you wanted to be Adam's girlfriend, but it's too late. And Adam looks at Alesa as if she's a diamond. He couldn't keep his eyes off her.

You admit it was cute, but that feeling of regret and upset kept bubbling up in your throat.

"(Y/N), thanks for that dating advice a week ago. I really appreciate it." Adam said to you motioning his head to Alesa. You pulled a fake smile and told Adam it was nothing.

After Adam passed you while walking with Alesa, you calmly walked to the front door. No one noticed, but your face was forcing tears.

You didn't want to cry, but it happened. You couldn't hold it in. You couldn't hold in that whole time you had hope for Adam to come up to you and say 'would you like to be my girlfriend?'

You felt so stupid, so fucking stupid. Why would you think your boss, someone with more power over you, love someone who's just a friend? A co-worker?

Once you exited the doors, you ran. You ran down the sidewalk knowing there was a park a couple blocks down. By now small tears were falling, but you saved them for the sake of your embarrassment.

You entered the park and found a bench. No one was in the park, maybe one family having a picnic but no one could see you cry.

Then you did. You covered your face with your hands, your sobs being muffled.

Why would he love me anyways?
Why did I even try?
What's the point??
How am I gonna get over this now?

You wiped your face, hiccups now coming because of your crying.

I hate myself.
I'm so stupid.
I'm an idiot.
No wonder he doesn't love me.

You looked up from your hands and watched people walk by, cars driving by, and the sky passing by as the day went on. Your phone was blowing up with texts asking where you went. You didn't bother to answer them.

Why would I think he'd love me?

He's just my boss...

I would like to make clear that I DO NOT have any hate towards Alesa. She's a beautiful, amazing, and hilarious human being and her and Adam look freAKING great together :)
I just needed her to be in this one shot to make the whole thing seem emotional.
So if anyone wants to say anything, before you do, I LOVE Alesa. Her character just needed to be presented just for this particular plot.
