11. Adam X Reader (PT ii)

You walked back into the office and it was quiet. You didn't hear anyone screaming or the sound of voices recording their videos.

Once you entered the area with the Do Not Laugh set, Jordan noticed you. Your face was almost recovered from your crying and you looked almost normal.

Jordan got up from his desk and walked to you.

"Where were you?! We were worried sick!!" Jordan exclaimed as you sniffled a little.

"I just needed some fresh air. And my phone was off. I don't like it when my phone distracts me when I walk." You lied with a small grin. You didn't want to tell him the truth. It wouldn't be worth it.

Jordan nodded going back to his seat.

"Oh and Adam wants to see you." He mentioned before going back. You took a deep breath, your heart beating super fast.

'Now what??' You asked yourself through your mind.

You went to Adam's door and he was on the computer with Excel on the screen.

"Adam..." Your voice wavered. You were frightened about what he wanted to say. So many things could happen.

"Oh (Y/N)! Come in, I need to talk to you." Adam said. His voice was still lighthearted and that's what you loved about him.

You closed the door behind you and leaned against it.

"I'm not gonna sugar coat this. I know you like me."

Your eyes widened to the point where you thought they popped out of your head. And you also felt a little light headed; who knew something so little can do something to you.

"Adam, I-uhm." You stuttered. Your cheeks suddenly turned super red and you felt so awkward.

"(Y/N), it's fine." Adam laughed. You nervously chuckled, your face burning like fire.

"Look, I never meant to hurt you in anyway. I'm sorry I didn't know and I'm sorry if this effected something in your life." Adam went on, his voice being serious.

"But you know I love Alesa, and I love you too, but not like how I do towards my girlfriend." Adam chucked a little which made you crack a smile.

"I understand. I'm alright, don't worry about me. I mean now that your have a girlfriend I think it'll be easier for me to get over you." You joked running your hands grouch your hair. Adam rolled his eyes.

"But seriously, Alesa looks perfect for you. I'm glad you two are together."

Adam nodded, thanking you in the process.

"Well, good thing we had this talk because we got it out of the way." Adam laughed his famous laugh. You laughed as well (because of the way he laughs).

"Yeah. Okay, so I'm gonna go back to work." You said to Adam. He nodded.

"Yup, go ahead."

You left Adam's office and walked out feeling a great wave of relief. Maybe some embarrassment because Adam knew you liked him, but you were happy things got cleared up.

You were gonna be okay.

But hey, there are plenty of fish in the sea.
