A New Destination

Christine was mad at me and Astra, but I had to give Jose a chance. There's a part of me that thinks Christine is right, but we'll just have to see how Jose turns out. Godine regained consciousness this morning so I had Astra explain everything to her. She was pretty shaken up, but she would be ok. Over breakfast, Jose spoke up and said "There are some kids down south of here, in Texas I think. Anyways they say that there has been a plague that has killed all of the people 13 and over. The only reason we survived is because we were experimented on. We were made accidently immune to the plague." "Who exactly?" I said. He replied "Adieve, Gracie, Gibor, Paloma, Phoebe, Ryad, Jal, Celeste, and Taesha. They're 12 and have some sort of elemental/mental superiority over normal humans. Kind of like you guys have. I have enhanced senses so, eh. Anyways they have more information about The stables and how to stop this plague. I think we should pay them a visit." I stayed silent for a while and agreed. "How do you know about all of this?" I asked him. "I used to go to the school that they went to, but i didn't pick up any powers. I didn't want to. And so I didn't fit in and left. Thats when I was captured," He replied. "Oh," I said. "Does anyone realize that some of there people's names are very similar to ours, except you Christian. Your weird that way," Rockey said. I would never get used to a talking pug. So, shortly after it was agreed that we would ask around and go to Texas to look for these kids. We packed up and went into a train station so we could buy the needed supplies and buy train tickets to Texas. While I was there, I saw a girl behind the counter. She looked about our age so I asked her her name. "Pyra," she said. How about you guys. "I'm Christian," I said "this is Christine, Jose, Godine, and Astra." "Ahem?" Rockey said. I rolled my eyes and said " and the talking pug behind the counter is Rockey." I asked her if she wanted to come with us and what her power was. "Power? What power? I don't have any powers. And I definitely, definitely can't increase and decrease my size" she said and looked around the room suspiciously. "We have powers too, come with us." I said. She agreed and we were all on a train to Texas. I was fairly happy and about an hour in, Christine fell asleep with her head on my chest. I let her stay that way. I wasn't gonna wake her up from sleeping. That would be rude. (Ok I did like it a little bit but u shush I'm telling the story ok?)
I couldn't wait until we got there. We finally had a lead.
