Song-Easier Than This by Ra
It had been a week since Goku had saved me from Josh. It had also been about 5 days since I last saw Josh. It was pretty nice, not gonna lie. However, Goku made me nervous. He could kill me, and I would die a criminal, just because he did it. He's a hero, he can get away with anything.
"Goku, can I ask you something?" I said.
"Y-yeah, sure!" he said happily, as usual.
"Why does everyone know you so well?" I asked.
"Well, not to brag, but I've saved the world several times. Have you never heard about the Saiyans or anything?" he said.
"Well, since I basically lived in captivity for three years, I haven't," I said.
"Really? He wouldn't even let you watch the news?" he said. He sounded more concerned than I thought he would. He sounded like he actually cared. I just shook my head no. "Let's go watch some TV then!" He sounded so excited to show me. He knows that I know what a TV is, right?
He clicked on the TV, and the first thing that was on was...
Some movie called 50 Shades of Gray. He quickly changed the channel as his face turned bright red. Apparently that's not a family friendly movie. The next thing that came on was the news. He kept it on. "S-so, (y/n)," he said, sounding very nervous.
"What is it, Goku?" I said.
"W-well, I'm not trying to r-ruin anything, but do you trust me yet?" he said. He looked so nervous, and he looked like he genuinely cared. Josh never looked like that...
"I don't know, Goku, it's only been a week," I said.
"I can prove that you can trust me!" he said, sounding excited.
"I don't know, I don't feel like getting up," I said.
"You don't have to," he said, "just wait here." And with that, he left the room.
Shortly after I heard banging at his front door. "Goku, you're not funny!" I yelled. The banging got louder. "Goku, seriously, quit!"
I jumped as I heard "But I'm not doing anything!" He was standing right behind me. I was frozen in fear. Who's at the door? They clearly don't mean well.
I hid my face as the door hit the ground. "You again?" Goku said.
"I'm not leaving without (y/n)," I heard Josh say sternly.
"Well then I guess you're not leaving," Goku said.
"Oh, really? I'm ready for you this time, and nobody is here to help you," Josh said. Please kick his ass, Goku.
"You're pathetic, you know that? You won't pick on someone your own size, and when you do, you get beaten to a pulp," Goku said. Josh threw a punch at Goku, getting blocked easily.
Josh managed to land a hit on Goku, stunning him enough for Josh to walk over to me and grab my hair. Goku started to walk over to us, so Josh threw me to the ground by my hair. My head bounced off of the floor.
I looked up at them and Goku was throwing Josh out the door. He followed him outside and I heard "Kamekameha," from Goku and saw a blinding light.
Goku ran back into the house and ran up to me. "Are you okay?" he asked.
"I'm fine," I said.
He hugged me tightly. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't expecting him to land a hit on me," he said.
"Goku, it's okay!" I said. I was beginning to feel bad for him, but I couldn't help but wonder why he cared so much. "I guess I trust you," I muttered.
His face lit up. "Wait, really?" he said.
"Yeah, I guess," I said.
For the sun shines within you, and it burns where you will stand
