My Hero (Goku x Reader)

The Big Day

Today was the day. Goku and I were getting married. I could only hope that I would mentally be able to get through this day. It's funny. Josh tried to ruin everything for me, and he still manages to pull that off. This is supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life, yet here I am, worried that I'll have a mental breakdown in front of everyone. The optimistic side of me knew that being surrounded by so many close friends would bring me enough comfort to get me through the day.

I looked at myself in the mirror and saw my appearance. The dress, the makeup, the smile, this was the best I had ever looked in my life. I turned to my one bridesmaid and maid of honor, the only other female I have any form of communication with, Bulma. She had a smile plastered on her face. She let out a chuckle. "What? Is there something on my face?" I said, looking in the mirror again.

"No, it's just that I can't believe that Goku convinced two different women to marry him," she said, making me laugh. I even found it hard to believe, and I was the one marrying him.

I got the cue to get ready to take my walk down the aisle. "Wow, this is really happening," I muttered. I looked up and Bulma was already gone. This whole day was moving so fast, it was almost impossible to believe.

The next thing I knew, I was walking down the aisle while everyone stared at me in disbelief. Goku's jaw might has well been on the floor the way he had looked at me.

For most of the ceremony, I was lost in my own thoughts. I was so lucky to have stumbled upon Goku that one faithful day. I was lucky that I had built up the courage to leave. I was lucky that he was so strong, I was lucky that his friends were so strong, although I could have gone without meeting Vegeta. I was lucky to have become a part of such a nice, caring group. I was lucky to be alive and in such a great situation. I have been waiting for this day for a long time.

"You may kiss the bride."

Today was the day that I left that dark chapter in my life behind for good.
