Guys, I don't know what to do. I'm freaking out. First off, let me give you a little bit of background so that all of this makes sense.
About 4 years ago, I was best friends with a guy who wound up asking me out. Me, being the stupid child that I was, said yes, wanting to avoid ending the friendship. About a month later, I broke it off since the whole relationship thing was too weird. It was understandably awkward for a few weeks, but then I got a notification on my phone. It was a text from this guy, it said "you lying bitch, you said you'd tell me if I did anything wrong. I wanted this to work out." At this point, I knew that friendship was off the table for him, and I knew what he was after in the first place. I told him that he didn't do anything wrong, I just wasn't comfortable being in a relationship with him. Things were back to being awkward for the next few days, then I heard from several of my friends that he was asking EVERYONE about me. Not just "how is she doing?" no, he was asking what time I left from practice, if I was going to a friend's house, like genuinely scary things. After I confronted him about this, he denied it, and I believed him for a couple of hours. I got ANOTHER text from him saying "my dad is a hunter, he has a gun collection, don't try me, this is your own fault." So for the next week or so, I had one of my friends drive me home instead of my cousins, and he took me a different way home. I went back to going home with my cousins, and my other friend texts me, saying that this guy is following him home. At this point, I was endangering my friends, and I was scared. One day, I looked out my window to see his car parked in my driveway. Another day, he knocked on my door while I was home alone. It sounded like he wanted to break the door down. This continued for weeks, until softball season started. He'd show up to every game and take pictures and leave as soon as my parents got there. One day, I was comfortable enough to tell my coaches what was going on, and they told him they'd call the cops next time he showed up to a game. After that game, I went home to find a huge crack in my bedroom window. I lived in fear until August of that year, when he moved to another state to go to college.
As a lot of you may know, I am in my second semester of my first year in college. I haven't seen my stalker in 3 or 4 years, thankfully. I thought that he must have forgotten about me. Well, today we were told that there was a suspicious person in our residence hall. Someone let some random dude in, thinking that he was new this semester or something. Well, our doorways have security cameras, and I saw the footage. I have no doubt in my mind that it was him. He had the same face, he had a hoodie from the college that he is still supposed to be going to. They haven't found the dude yet, supposedly he left the hall. I haven't left my room in two hours. I'm genuinely afraid. The cops have already been called, but I've heard nothing. I don't know where he is. I don't know why he's here. All I know is I'm afraid. I'm going to have to leave sooner or later, but what happens then? This is the only account that he hasn't found, so I figured that the only safe place to let people know what's happening is here. I'll keep you guys updated. All I can do is hope it's not him or he is found.
