"My name is Teniyah 🙃 I'm goofy and fun and I love being with my friends. Well actually ...friend. The only friend I have (at the moment) is my twin sister Essence. We are both kind of nerds so we're really only friends with each other. We don't get noticed at school at all. Well it's not that we *want* to be popular so much as so it would be nice to have a couple friends but it's alright. Anyway we are really fun people to be around but at school I don't know what happens. It's like we jus go into shy mode. We really only talk to each other. Oh wait I can finally use the bathroom be right back."
Essence P.O.V "Hey !!!! So yea you've met my sister ...gotta love her. I'm basically going to fill you in on everything she didn't say. My parents are split up. We live with my mom in North Carolina where we were born. We only get to see our dad on the weekend but it's ok ...it's our system. We are both 16 and have our own cars. We work at the mall just to earn some extra cash."
We both walked downstairs for breakfast before school. "Good morning Mommy." We said together. I hate it when we talk in unison. And we do it a lot.
"Good morning my beautiful babies." Teniyah smiles brightly but I roll my eyes.
"Mom we are not "babies" anymore. You have to stop treating us like that." Teniyah looked at me with ice cold eyes.
"I like it when she treats us like this. It means we'll be her babies forever." I roll my eyes again.
"Of course you would." I throw a piece of my bacon at her.
"Hey hey hey stop guys that's a waste of good food." We all start giggling.
After finishing up our food I hop into my car. I'm ready to pull off but then I hear the passenger car door open. "I forgot to gas mine up." She says before I see her face.
"Alright Teniyah hop in."
Teniyah P.O.V
After a couple of minutes we pulled up to the school. It looked like a lot of kids were already there. Essence and I were ready for a regular day of school.
Walking through the halls as if we didn't exist.
The first couple of periods went by in a breeze. Essence and I met up at lunch. We sat at our usual table which was the one in the corner back with the window so we could look outside.
"Hi." I heard a voice say. I didn't really pay attention to the way it sounded so I just assumed it was Essence. "Hey." Thinking she would just sit down I continued to stare outside wondering if I could ever escape reality. Finally realizing I can't I looked down. I saw that Essence wasn't there and looked up. I saw a boy ...a boy with brown hair that looked like the type to get in his beautiful brown eyes. He had bushy eyebrows and small pink lips.

"Oh um hi." I said starting to blush.
"Hey I was just wondering if I could borrow this chair." His smile was warm ...but weird like he wanted to say something but something else was holding him back.
"Oh sure my sister sits on the other side anyway." I returned the warm smile.
"Thanks a bunch." He said smiling before taking the chair and walking away. I watched him walk before staring back out the window. Smiling to myself.
"What are we so smiley about ?" Knowing it was my sister this time I kept my eyes out of the window.
