Essence P.O.V

After school Teniyah and I met up in the parking lot to get in my car. I couldn't find her so I went and leaned against my car on my phone. I had a text from my dad.

D: Can't wait to see you guys today‼️❕‼️✌🏾️

M: 😂 me either! I have to work n Teniyah is goin to stay wit me until my shift is over so we'll see u around 6:00 😍❣😘✌🏾️

I sent the text to my dad and looked up ...still no sign of Teniyah. So I decided to call her.

I held down the home button until Siri came on. "Siri call Twin👯👭" I say into the phone.

"Calling Twin, dancing women wearing bunny ears, two women holding hands." The phone started to ring but no answer. Just as it went to voicemail a boy walked up. He had brown hair that he had to brush out of his gorgeous brown eyes. He had bushy eyebrows that you could barely see and light pink lips. He was cute.

"Hey. I just wanted to let you know my name is Justin. And thanks for letting me borrow that chair even though it was two years ago." He said laughing at himself. I was a little confused but went along with it.

"No problem." I said. His smile was killing me.

"See ya later." He said walking down the parking lot. I tried not to blush as he winked at me. I was about to call Teniyah again.

"Siri call Twin👯👭" I said into the phone once again.

"Calling Twin, dancing women wearing bun--"

"Hay." I looked up and pressed the home button.

"I was just about to call you." We threw our backpacks in the back seat and climbed in. Then we drove to the mall.

Teniyah P.O.V

The car ride was long and silent. I don't know what was going on in Essence head but she was smiling a lot. All I could think about was that boy from lunch a couple years ago. I don't know his name but I would really like to find out.

When we got to the mall we were both starving. So we got some Auntie Annie's on the way to Victoria's Secret (that's where Essence works). As soon as we walked in the store we saw the manager. Essence job is cashier. She told me she likes it because it gives her a chance to talk to ladies. As she goes to clock in I look at the racks. They have some really nice stuff here and I have about $50 with me.

As I'm looking at the racks ...something catches my eye. This is what it says: This Friday only we will be giving out FREE makeovers by PROFESSIONALS totally FREE. Just come in ask one of the cashiers and they will pencil you in. But it all ends Friday so go NOW NOW NOW NOW ‼️‼️‼️😜🙂🙃🙃❣😍.

I walk over to Essence just as she's getting to the cash register.

"They're having free makeovers ?"

"Yea so ?"

"I think we should get some."

"No."

"Oh come on !! It'll be fun."

"I don't think mom will approve."
