I think the better question is...
"Ladies ?" Essence and I stood there stunned until she finally spoke up.
"Dad it's us." He looked like he was taken back.
"Girls ?"
"Yes." We said in unison.
"Oh my come in. What did you guys do ?"
"I told you something came up. It was a makeover." I said.
He stared at us for a second. Then the smile we first saw came back.
"You guys look beautiful."
We blushed. "Thanks Dad."
"I have amazing news for you. Your mom is going on a business trip so you guys will stay with me for the next week !!!"
Essence P.O.V
I didn't know how to feel about this. Ever since we were born ...the longest we've ever stayed with my dad is 4 days. Now he's saying 10 whole days in this house. I lightly smiled and stood up.
"I have to go switch my clothes out." They looked at me weird but I didn't care. I calmly walked upstairs paying no attention to the tense feeling in the room.
When I got upstairs I took all my new clothes and switched them with my old clothes. I threw my old clothes in bags to give to Goodwill. I heard footsteps walking on the stairs and the door open. I didn't pay attention to anything I just focused on the clothes. I saw her feet before she sat down next to me. She started piling clothes into the bag with me.
"What's wrong."
"Nothing."
"Stop lying."
"I'm not. I'm fine."
"Is it because we have to stay with dad ?"
"Maybe." She sighed and moved the clothes away from us.
"Look at me." I looked up and stared her in the eyes. "We'll be ok I promise."
I wasn't sure but she already put in an effort to make me feel better. "Ok." I said fake smiling.
The next day dad took us out for pizza and ice cream. The rest of the weekend was pretty much exactly that. All junk food, work, and fun. I was still a little hesitant after the last time we stayed long at his house ...but maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all.
Teniyah P.O.V
I could feel Essence was still a little hesitant ...but she tried to hide it well. She forgets I feel what she feels.
*Sunday night 1:35*
"Esse you still up ?"
"Yup."
"I know."
"Then why did you ask ?"
I started laughing and I could see her trying to hide her smile in the dark.
"Are you sure your ok staying here ?"
"Yeah I'll be alright. Goodnight."
"Fine rush me to sleep. Haha goodnight."
The rest of the night was quiet n peaceful.
The next morning we had our usual breakfast at dads house : cereal. I'll save you the trouble and just tell you we ate and left.
