Dinner

"Fancy" I said as a waiter sat me and David down. He handed us our menus and left the table. "What's this for?" I asked.
"What? All this" I nodded. "It's for you being my beautiful wife, and me being able to spend time with you"
"Aww, you're so sweet" I smiled. "But I know there's something else" I raised an eyebrow.

Whenever David took me out or wanted to do something nice for me was either because he did something or he wanted to ask me something serious.

"I can't just take my wife out for dinner?" He smiled innocently.
"No you can, but I know you did something so what is it?"

The waiter came back with our food and wine and I started to eat. "Just tell me" I whined.
He sighed. "I just wanted to talk to you"
"About?"
"About anything. Tell me how your day was"
"I was with you all day"
"I know but you could tell me how you liked being with me"
"I loved being with you. I wanna be with you everyday, all the time"
"Tell me how work is. Is there someone you don't like? Give me all the gossip" he smiled and drank some wine.

He actually seemed interested in how work was. Normally when u try to tell him he gets so bored so I just stop but know he wants to know. Maybe he doesn't want anything. Maybe I was wrong. I smiled and continued to talk.

"Well that girl Grace. Ugh... She's so ew. I don't like her, I hope she gets fired"
"Why, what she do?"
"Well I was talking to a client. And then she bursts into my office, taking bout some ex boyfriend. I was like 'girl if you don't get the hell up out my office, imma beat your ass' and she was just talking and carrying on" He laughed.

"I had a lot of fun tonight, babe" I said as he opened the door for me, leading me out the restaurant.
"I did too" he grabbed my hand and we walked around the mall. "Maybe I did want something" he stopped walking and looked at me.
I smiled and kissed him. "Anything"
"I want to have kids" he said.
I froze. My heart stopped as I looked into his eyes and saw how serious he was.
