Chapter 13- Change of plans.

*MIDNIGHT*

; It has been a couple of hours now since Sapphire left to let me "cool down".

Pacing around, throwing shit, cussing, yeah those are a FEW things I've been doing since she left. After my little scene, I actually sat down and started to think about the situation. Was I being selfish about this whole situation? Yes, I hate the thought of being forced to marry, and all.. but why am I taking it out on her? It really isn't her fault..or is it?

UGH. My thoughts in my brain were a complete mess, I didn't know if I was right or if she is right or what. I sat on my couch, rubbing my fingers through my afro. I sighed, maybe it is time for me to give up. It has been FIVE years... maybe its just time for me to give up and give in.

'No that's exactly what she wants you to do!'

Even though my mind was telling me no, my heart was saying otherwise. I should just stop fighting against my mother's wishes and just be the next to step in line for arranged marriages. After a few minuets of thinking I sighed,

I guess I've made a decision.

; A hour later, I heard the door open and shut again and I waited anxiously for Sapphire to find me so I could tell her my decision. After a few minutes she walked in the living room to find me in the living room, staring out the window. I remained still as she stepped in and stared at me.

"So I see you've composed yourself. You've been here all the time I was gone?"

I nodded and looked at her, "Yeah..and I've been thinking.. about this whole thing.."

"Wow, you thinking? That's a shock." she said chuckling, "Well, what have you thought about?"

I paced around, "You, me, this whole situation. Look, I apologize for my behavior this whole time we've been here together, it was completely ridiculous and out of line and I apologize. I'm just so used to getting what I want, and I didn't want you to be here..and honestly I was frustrated because I expected you to be gone by now. Well, I see that you really need this money that my mother is giving you, and I guess you're not going anywhere so I've faced reality. I guess you're gonna stay here and were actually getting married and I'm not gonna fight it anymore." I said taking a deep breath and rubbing my neck nervously.

She looked at me in shock, she simply looked at the wall and then sighed. "Wow, I really wasn't expecting that. I don't know what to to say but I forgive your apology but I still don't like you."

I chuckled, "Yeah, I can understand that. But I'm willing to go along with this if you are... we don't have to have feelings for each other during this either.. if you want to go along with the deal still then we can do that."

She sighed, "Fine. Yeah, I like that." she said approaching me with her hand out.

I shook it and she glared at me, "I'm only doing this for my parents you know." she said smiling a little afterwards.

"Yeah, I know.. so since that's out of the way, I guess we can go ahead and discuss what's going on next in this process." I said sitting on the couch.

"And that would be.."

"The Engagement Dinner."
