"You could have had so much more."

That sentence kept repeating in Newt's mind. What did she mean by that? Does she like me? But his questions were never answered.

The next morning, the blonde boy had woken up just as he woke up the first time, Teresa in front of him, the same knife in her hand.

"So have you taken up my offer yet?"

"What offer? You didn't mention one."

Teresa rolls her eyes, before getting off the chair and crawled towards Newt. This made him lean back, only then realising that he had hit a dead end.

"I see why Thomas wanted you. Look how handsome you are." she says, her hand stroking his face, leading up to his hair.

"He didn't deserve you. He didn't deserve anything!" she screams, tugging on his hair.

Newt cries for help and she instantly lets go, mumbling a quick sorry, getting up and walking out. The blonde was confused with the girl's strange behaviour.

"What... What's your problem with Thomas?" he asks, scared of her response.

She stops her tracks and looks at him, before coming over to him again.

"He did... He did the most horrible thing in the world. And I cannot forgive him. That's why I took you, he didn't deserve such a wonderful person like you." she starts, her head hanging down.

Newt didn't realise that her view of Thomas was like that. She always thought she was in love with him... but he guessed not.

"Can... Can I ask what was the horrible thing?" Newt mumble and Teresa gives him a small smile before getting up.

"You wouldn't believe me. I would advise you to ask him... but all he says is lies." and with that, she walks out the room.

What could he have done to make her feel this way? Newt thought, and for the first time ever, he was confused as to if he knew who Thomas really was.

"Thomas? Is everything okay?"

The boy looks up to find Gally at his door. He frowns as he see the boy come into the room.

"What are you here for? To be a dickhead?" Thomas mutters but Gally ignores him and sits next for him.

There was an awkward silence before Thomas felt a hand on his back. Please don't tell me that Gally is sympathising me. he thought.

"... There, there."

"Seriously?" the brunette whines, shrugging him off.

"Hey, I'm trying my hardest to comfort you."

"Why are you? We don't exactly get along."

Thomas was right. Ever since the day he had come up in the Box, Gally... let's say, was a complete piece of klunk to Thomas. He was angry because of Newt but also because he didn't trust him. Thomas understood why but he dared not to say it.

"I know, it's just... You're happier with Newt and we need you to go into the Maze soon, Minho needs your help."

While Newt's been gone, Minho and Thomas had ended up stuck in the Maze for an night and surprisingly survived. They were hoping to find Newt or Teresa, but no luck. From that, they declared him a Runner but Thomas hasn't left his room since he came back.

"I don't know... I can't just live life, knowing that he's out there with that excuse of a human." Thomas cries, before crying into a pillow.

He'd been doing that a lot.

"Thomas... there's someone here to see you." he hears Gally say and they both turn to find the person that they never thought would return.

"What the hell do you want?"
