"As if it's Becky's fault." Nick cut in, but it was too late. This Holly girl was making me angry.
"Who do you think you are?" I questioned, getting right up in her face. "I haven't seen you do anything to help this camp, so don't you dare say that this whole mess is my fault!"
"Really?" She replied as she put a finger on my chest, lightly pushing me back. "The others are probably dead and your sitting here, whining about how you've lost your best friend, well guess what? No one gives a damn!" She finished, shoving me to the ground like I was worthless.
"That's it!" I screamed as I lunged off the ground. "You think this camps needs you?" I shrieked. "Your nothing but a lousy, ugly snob!" Then I raised my hand and gave her a good, hard slap across the face.
"Ugh!" She growled as she tackled me to the ground, pulling at my hair. "Get off!" I screeched, but instead, she slammed my face into the dirt.
"Get off of her!" Someone yelled and I glances up to see Nick, just as he pushed Holly off of me. His eyes fell on me and he stretched out a hand to help me up.
As I stood up, I felt something warm run down my face. I wiped at my nose and saw blood on my fingers. That snob had made my nose bleed!
Sam stepped forward and passed me a tissue, which I gladly accepted. I pressed it against the bleeding and checked if my nose was broken. Luckily, it wasn't.
I spun around to see Holly on the ground, surrounded by her stupid friends. I pushed through to see the damage I had done.
Holly had a graze across her cheek, from where I slapped her and a split lip. Looks like I came out as the winner.
"Look who's the one on the ground now." I sniggered as she looked up at me angrily.
"You know what?" She said as she scrambled to her feet. "I don't need this camp! I can get out of these damn woods myself!"
Then she picked up her belongings and stormed off and into the forest. Her group followed her. I didn't try to stop them.
"Well that went well." I said sarcastically as I removed the tissue from my face. My nose had stopped bleeding.
I met eyes with the remaining camp members. There were six of us. Nick, Sam, Lucy and I remained, plus Georgia, who was the camp cook and Kyle, one of Sam's friends.
Six people left with Holly and five were currently missing.
We arrived in Woodlands State Forest with sixteen campers, seventeen including Mr Emerson.
Everyone was either with Holly's group, with mine, or missing.
I just wondered how long it would be until the number six started to drop...
