Chapter Twenty-Seven

"Hyori, it's your schedule to give a tour" Ace lightly tapped my left shoulder as he already started to walk away. Leaving me with the new student. He's the president, I couldn't just snap out on how lazy I was for being nice and cheerful to  new students. Honestly, he's just doing his job as told and I should also do the same thing. It's not like I'm assigned to be the part leader in school just for nothing...

Being the one who's a few centimeters short wasn't so pleasant as he towered over me. Well, I'm not that too short but I have to admit, I have to at least look up a little just so I could flash a smile to him. I wouldn't be expecting him to respond as he flashed a grin back to me. Light grey orbs looking straight into my eyes. 

"Welcome to ________ High. Mr?" I stated out while straightly questioned his name.

"Trafalgar D. Water Law" He grins before continuing "But you can call me Law" He stated out thoughtfully.

"What's with the D?" I managed to questioned him.

He shrugs indicating that he didn't know also. "Don't know but it's kinda like a family trait"

I nodded back and started to bring him around school. He would sometimes asks questions to gather knowledge about the said things. Casually and knowingly, I started answering him. Sometimes, I would think as if I've memorized the whole long scrips that never been created from the paper but from the thoughts.

"This is the school field" - "This is were we spend break time" - "The corridor along classes and teachers and staff would be just at the corner" - "Books are also provided here" - "Labs and technical room's are all here in this block". So, that wasn't all, I still have to answer several of his questions and remarks. Wouldn't want him to feel that awkward or realize the fact that I'm not the type of person to laugh around... It's not that he's too giddy but I guess... trying to make friends... But, I would take that as a reason cause basically, he's new here.

Seconds later the school bell started to ring, indicating that it's time for classes. "What class are you in?" I questioned him slightly hoping that, at least he's a year younger than me.Basically, someone who's a senior this year would only transfer if they received a certificate from school. So, I would more likely to accept in showing him, his class if he wasn't the same as me.

"I thought you were giving a tour to, our new classmate..." Jongin nonchalantly speaks out to me while half glancing. He was already writing down some notes from the whiteboard.

I sigh and looked to his side. "So, you already know that he'll be attending classes with us?" I half questioned yet still half stating out the fact that he know about it.

"The thing is,... our school president isn't just a masquerade for being our friend..." He thoughtfully speaks back with a grin.

Mentally rolling my eyes with annoyance "Whatever." He only responded with a chuckle before looking back on the whiteboard.

Quickly moving my hands in catching up with the others on jotting down the notes. There wasn't a sound other than the sound of our movements  in unconsciously doing things. Minutes later, I have two more sentences to write while Jongin was calmly looking around. Sometimes, I would catch him up glancing on me, probably checking if I'm finished or haven't. The fact that I was late entering the class for a mere 10 minutes. Boy, that's sure does takes time for me to catch up with them.

I was busy writing the last few words when a knock was lightly being heard from the side of the slide door. I blink thinking that it's the new student that I just purposely left behind. Like I said if he's not in the same class with me, I will naturally send him to his class.
