Chapter 7: Shawn

For the whole History class, instead of picking an important point in history to write about, we got to know each other so we wouldn't be working with a total stranger. I learned that he loves to sing and write song and he's friends with Carter.

After history I had, Math witch dragged on for a while. After Math I had lunch. I went to the cafeteria and looked around the room for Taylor but i couldn't find him. As I look around Carters saw me and called me over to sit with him and the Jacks.

"Hey guys" I said sitting down next to Carter and across from Jack J. Carter smiled down at me. "Oh ya, Maddie this is Jack J and Jack G." Carter told me. "She knows who we are man." Jack J said as I chuckled.

"Oh." "Hey Maddie you going to eat?" Jack G asked noticing I didn't have a lunch. "Um no I don't eat school food, it's gross." I said truthfully. I hated the school lunch, but that's not the main reason that I don't eat lunch.

After lunch, i had my free period so I looked around outside for Taylor. I was turning around a corner when I was pulled behind a dumpster and pushed against the brick wall of the school building, banging the back of my head against the wall.

"Your such a whore." I knew that voice from anywhere, It was Jake.

He punched me in the stomach, nocking the wind out of me as I fell to ground and I lied there not moving, the cold concert against my face.

"What the hell are you doing?" i heard a girls voice yell and someone running up to us. Jake took off leaving me alone.

"Are you okay?" A girl asked kneeling next to me. She had dark brown hair and bright green eyes. I nodded my head catching my breath and standing up.

"Are you sure. I can get the nurse." The girl asked helping me up. "What's your name?" I asked. "Logan Reese." The girl said worried. "Thank you for helping me Logan but I'm fine, really." I said with a fake smile and walking away.

I got to the hill I sat on the day before with Taylor and lied down. My head was pounding. I sighed and closed my eyes.

"Hey Madison!" Someone said from behind me.  smiled. "Hey Shawn, What's up?" I asked. "Oh nothing you just looked lonely." He said setting down a case next to him and sitting down.

"Yeah, no one that I know has a free period now so." I said smiling. "Well I have a free class aswell so you don't need to be alone anymore." He said. I smiled at him.

"Want to ditch for the rest of the day?" I looked at him and laughed. "I didn't take you as a bad boy Mr. Mendes." He smiled and nodded. "Come on it'll be fun, it's not like you'll be missing anything it's the second day of school." I sighed and stood up. "Alright, let's go then."

We ended up just going to some trampoline park for an hour. My head was still pounding but I kinda forgot about it while I was jumping.

After, that we went to some pizza place where we meet up with everyone. We all talked and ate. I put a piece of pizza on my plate but I picked a few pieces off so it looked like I ate a little bit.

We we finished eating we all went back to Matt and Shawn's house. Turns out Matt and Shawn live together. I tried to protest, saying I was really tired but they would let me leave. I sighed and sat on the couch on my phone while the boys played the Wii and fooled around.

I smiled as I watched. My phone went off signaling i had a text. I looked down at my phone and I stopped smiling right away. A text appeared from an unknown number. "You might of goo tan away today but you won't tomorrow.

That's when I felt it. My throat was starting to feel tight. I could feel the tears threatening to fall.

I grabbed my bag and ran out of the living room looking for the bathroom. I ran into the first room I saw and shut the door behind me.

The room was a dark blue color and had music posters lining the walls. A guitar and a keyboard were in the corner of the room. I sat on the floor leaning against the bed as I did the best I could to grab my medication from the bottom of my bag.

My chest was getting tighter and I couldn't breath. Tear now flooded my eyes and ran down my cheeks. I heard the door opened but I did t care to look up.

"Madison, are you okay?" I started to hyperventilate when I dumped out my bag. "Where are they." I yelled looking threw my stuff. "Guys something wrong with Madison." I heard someone yell from the door. I pulled my knees to my chest and tried to control my breathing.

Almost all the guys ran into the room. "She's having an anxiety attack." I heard a familiar voice say. "Where's your medicine?" The voice wispered. I shrugged unable to think. The person pulled me into a hug. "You're going to be okay Maddie. You're okay. Nothing going to happened." He said rubbing my back.

I was started to catch my breath but I was still shaking and crying. "It's okay Maddie, You're okay." I nodded once I was able to breath again.

"It's late why don't you go to sleep okay?" I nodded as the person hugging me helped me up. I knew it was one of the boys but I could tell by their voices who's who yet. 

When I stood up that's when I was able to tell it was Shawn. "Just lay down and get some sleep." He said laying me down on the bed in the room. I was still crying as he pulled the covers over me and sat on the end of the bed.

"Are you alright?" The guys asked standing at the end of the bed. I whipped my tears away and nodded. "Yeah I am now." I smiled. They nodded and walked out of the room.

Shawn stood up and went to walk out but I grabbed his wrist. "Um can you stay with me till I fall asleep?" I asked with my checks blushing red. He nodded and sat back down next to me on the bed. I closed my eyes but didn't fall asleep, I just lied there.

After a while I heard someone walk into the room. "Should I wake her up so we can head home?" Carter asked. "I don't know what do you think?" Shawn asked.

"How'd you know how to calm her down?" Carter asked. "My little sister has anxiety attacks, and I used to have to calm her down a lot." I heard Shawn explain. I figured I should probably get up now.

I opened my eyes and looked over at Carter who stood in the door way. "Hey sorry, we didn't mean to wake you." He explained. I nodded and sat up. "How you feeling?" Shawn asked. "Better then earlier." They both nodded.

"We should be get going soon though. It's getting late. G said he'd give us a ride. I nodded and swung my leg over the side of the bed. My bag was all put back together and set on the side of the bed. I smiled and grabbed it getting up.

I walked out of the room and most of the boys where gone by now. I hugged Shawn and Matt good bye and got into the car with the Jacks and Carter.

I took a shower when we got home and feel fast asleep. I was so tiered from today and I have so many mixed feelings. I'll just sleep it off and hopefully everything will be fine.
