Staying in the hospital for a week was tedious much. Cameron kept making a fuss over the hospital food, the room's smell, the uncomfortable pillows, the hard mattress and well-

Basically, everything.

Today had been the last day and thankfully his wounds had healed, some of the bruises lightened and started fading. The injury on his torso still required time to heal but over all, it had been fine.

The drive back to his apartment had been silent. He seemed to be lost in his own thoughts, gazing out from the passenger's window. I stole a few glances and darted back to the road. I placed my hand over his and he quickly intertwined our fingers together, without looking at my direction.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked him.

He looked me in the eyes, his orbs burning in all hues of yellow and hazel. He smiled sadly and then sighed.

"I just missed you, is all."

My stomach fluttered and dragon breaths spread through my body. I smiled at him and then I took a stop to Gellos; my favourite ice-cream shop.

"Why'd you stop here?" He asked.

"Figured you might need something after the horrible experience with the hospital's food."

He flashed me a grin. "I'll take the cherry flavour, love."

I rolled my eyes.

How very typical.

We both climbed down and headed straight to the cart. I took my usual raspberry truffle and Cameron, loyal to his words, ordered the cherry scoops. We walked back to my car and sat inside, rolling the windows down. The chilly autumn air had been smooth against my cheeks and it made my long auburn stray hairs fly.

Cameron looked at me and then took a mouthful of his ice-cream.

"This is good," he mumbled.

I giggled, "this is ordinary not orginative."

"Well, I picked something that reminds me of you. I have no idea whatsoever what does the raspberry truffle have to do with me." He said.

"Well, it is delicious." I said. My eyes widened and I looked back at him to see him staring down his ice cream with a smirk.

That bastard.

"I mean - I meant that the ice cream is -"

"Come on now, baby, don't ruin this triumphant moment for me. Especially if that's the case then I say I better try this delicious flavour of yours."

Without a warning, he dug his little yellow plastic spoon into my ice-cream and took a big mouthful of it.

"Hey! That was mine!" I yelled.

"Mm, damn, it really is good." He closed his eyes and leaned against the seat as he bit his lip, sliding his tongue over the ice - cream on his lower lip. I watched him enjoy the heavenly taste and suddenly, I wanted him to devour my entire cup.

"Um, we could exchange if you want?" I asked, my voice lower than I had expected it to be. He looked back at me with a smile. Then he got closer, and offered me a taste of his cup, which I took.

"I like to keep my choices." He said.

"I'm willing to make sacrifices for my special ones though." I said, grinning at him, as I placed my ice cream cup over the coffee holder and started my car. Cameron's was still at the repairshop and the man there said it needed two weeks before he was done with it.
