Earth and Delphi

Claiming Day. Yay

The five of us got into armor which felt very uncomfortable. I tried to walk in it but it just felt to awkward so I took the armor off.
    "What are you doing? Are you trying to get killed or something?"Rosa asked.
    "I can't move in it. That will get me killed."I said back to her. The only thing I put on was the helmet which still felt awkward. It was just a regular war helmet.
    "You know you should wear armor."Nico said to me.
    "I doesn't matter, Nico, I have a better chance to surviving than wearing the armor."I said." I can barely move in it." Nico nodded.
    We walked to the fighting arena where everyone was gathering for capture the flag. The campers and the hunters were there.
    "Alright! The hunters will be on the red team and the campers on blue!" Chiron announced. I saw Cammie shifting her weight and looking around nervously. Her eyes met mine and I mouthed "You okay?"
She nodded hesitantly. She was lying. I rolled my eyes and looked back at Chiron.
We ran to where our flag was and Annabeth gave out positions. "Cammie, Jason, Percy, and Nico should take the front line."
I saw Percy lean over to Cammie and say something, causing Cammie to smirk and nod. A horn blew and Percy and Cammie bolted in yelling "YAAAAAAAAAA!"
I groaned and ran after them, then ran to cover left, like Annabeth instructed. I came across a river, and saw girls swimming in it. They saw me and swam away screaming. I sighed and continued to guard the line. I heard a twig snap and quickly unsheathed my sword.
I saw something moving in the bushes and said, "Who's there?"
A boy crawled out. He had a mess of black-brown curls and his Camp Half- Blood tee shirt was covered in... was that oil?
"Names Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus." He smirked. He had dark brown eyes that seemed to gleam with mischief.
He reminded me of Cammie.
"Oh, so what do you want? Annabeth didn't tell you to..."
"I'm setting up nets and tra..."
"RUN PERCY RUN!" I heard someone scream with laughter. My head whipped around to see Cammie and Percy running, Percy holding a red banner. I saw an arrow wiz past Cammie's head, causing her to shriek. Percy stumbled, but kept running. They soon disappeared into the brush.
"Woah, she actually didn't get out." I said with amazement, since Cammie's a huge wimp.
"Who was that?" Leo asked.
"Oh that's my friend Cammie."I said.
"Is she single?" He smirked
I gave him a death glare and he put his hands up. "Ok ok, jeez."
I grinned and heard cheering. "Well, that sounds good. Let's get going." I said to Leo, who nodded and followed. We reached the edge of the woods to see Cammie and Percy on people's shoulders, laughing. I felt so happy for her, since it was Vinny's death anniversary. 
I nudged Leo. "C'mon. I'll introduce the two of you at least." He grinned and we ran up to them.
"Nice going, Cammie!" I gave her a high five. She beamed and nodded.
"Right! I was totally awesome, even though I always am." She glanced at Leo and nudged her head toward him. "Who's this?"
"This is Leo. He's a son of Hephaestus."
Cammie and Leo shook hands. "Hephaestus? That sounds like a cowboy god or something."
"That's what I said!" Leo laughed. "But no, he's the god of fire and metal work."
"That's like my dad! He owns a hardware store!" Cammie gasped.
"Oh thats cool." Leo said.
I began to feel like third wheel, so I slowly backed away. Bet they wouldn't notice. But I'm happy Cammie and him met. Their gonna be inseparable.
I saw Nico and waved. He waved back and ran over. "Nice work!" He said.
I laughed "I barely did anything. It was all Cammie and Percy." Nico rolled his eyes.
"I know. Bet their gonna be the two superstars."
I laughed again. "Yeah, and with Cammie's ego..." my voice trailed off. This was getting awkward. Really awkward.
"Hey, Nico!" Saved by the Cammie.
Nico nodded at Cammie. "Where's your boyfriend, Cammie?" I asked with a smirk.
Cammie's face ignited with a blush. She punched my arm. "Leo's not my boyfriend! We just met!"
I laughed. Then a smirk appeared on her face. "What?" I asked. I noticed Nico staring at me. A small blush grew on my face. Our eyes met, and we both looked away. Cammie burst out laughing. "Nico and Sydney, sitting in a tree..."
"Cammie!" I yelled, glaring at her. Her face paled and she swallowed. Well, that wasn't the reaction I thought would happen.
"Y-your eyes." She stammered.
I looked away. "That's been happening a lot." I said.
"Oh." Cammie said. She looked around, then when a horn sounded, she yelled "K.I.S.S.I.N.G" She ran as fast as she could.
"Cammie, I'm going to kill you in the most painful way!" I yelled chasing her.
"I regret nothing!" She laughed. She ran to her table still laughing. I just glared at her. Rosa and Luna went to their tables. Nico was sitting at his table and was still blushing.
I heard a voice in my head saying it was time. What time? Before I could get an answer I started to glow green. There was a symbol over my head. It was the circle with a cross through it. On the other side of the room my brother Jack was glowing too with the symbol. My clothes changed into a green dress. My hair stayed down but on top there was a green leaf crown. I could feel my eyes burning.
I unsheathed my sword and looked at my reflection. My eyes were staying green. I guess that's why my eyes kept doing that, they wanted to stay green. On my wrist there was that glowing symbol again but it's like it transferred from being above my head to on my wrist. The symbol just stayed there.
I looked around the room and that's when everyone started to yell at me and Jack. They were saying things like, 'Your mother started the war!' while others were yelling 'Trader!'.
I took Jack's hand and ran him out of there.
Nico popped out of nowhere and said,"Take my hand! Quick!" I did as he told and he pulled the three of us into a shadow. A wave of sorrow and dread washed over me while we were in the shadow. We ended up in the woods, where I slept when I have been here.
I wanted to cry but something inside me told me not to worry. I slumped down to my knees and unsheathed my sword again. I looked at my eyes and they were still green. I started to get tears in my eyes, but blinked them away.
I am now forever more the Daughter of Gaea and nothing could change that ever.
I looked at Jack's eyes and realized they were green too. I smiled and showed him his reflection. His eyes got big but now we looked exactly alike. He was just the boy version of me. My brother's eyes softened.
"Now we look completely alike."I said.
"Yeah."Jack said still looking at his eyes.
"I'll go get your friends and Chiron, ok?"Nico said.
I hugged Nico before you could say 'Zeus'. I whispered into his ear 'thank you'. He wasn't expecting that so when I let go he disappeared.
Jack and I waited for about five minutes sitting at the trunk on the tree I slept in. Chiron, Cammie, Luna, Rosa, and Nico walked up to Jack and me.
"So did you know that this was your parent since your dream."Chiron said with an eyebrow raised.
"Yeah..."I said softly.
"Well four of you will have to go on the quest tomorrow."He said.
I put up my hands in a timeout position and said,"Timeout. There is six of us. Why would four of us go when only three of us can go on a quest. If there is more than three someone... might... die."
"Cammie will go cause she is the daughter of Hera, Rosa will go cause she is the daughter of Athena, Sydney you will go because well... because of your mother." He was trying to avoid Gaea's name! Now that made me mad! He could tell I was getting mad cause his eyes told me he was scared. "Nico will go because he is the son of Hades. He could help you three and take you to New Rome."
"Wait what about me?"Luna asked. "Am I one of the four?"
"We don't know that yet but I think it's best for you to stay here for now because if it's you. You'll be safe."Chiron said.
"And let us risk our lives."I heard Cammie mumble.
Maybe Chiron thinks that Luna's not ready to fight yet, I thought to myself. I was happy that Nico was coming.
"Jack you will stay here as well with Luna."Chiron continued.
"No I want to go with my sister!" Jack yelled. He grabbed onto my hand and refused to let go. I could tell that Nico was thinking something. It just bothered me.
"Don't worry Jack I'll come back just be careful I can tell people here will not understand you. Luna will be here with you."I gave him my ruby ring that I had in my sheath. I wanted something to remember my dad cause he got it for me on valentine's day. I snuck it the day we went to my house. "Here's something to remind you I will come back. This will shine bright when I am close. Ok?" He nodded.
The ring started to glow bright. Thanks Gaea! Jack's eyes lit up and he smiled real big.
"You all should pack."Chiron said to Cammie, Rosa, Nico, and me.
"Done!" Nico said. "What I had a feeling. I packed just in case."
I climbed the tree and threw down my backpack. I kept it there since after lunch. I screamed 'Done!' just like Nico did.
"Ok..."Chiron said trotting away with Cammie, Rosa, Luna, Nico, and Jack.
I was left all alone so I started to walk around the tree. Did I really like Nico. But I have philophobia. I can't love right now even when a war might begin. I started to sing songs by Imagine Dragons. I first sang 'Demons' cause of my eyes, and then sang the song 'Monster' also by Imagine Dragons cause I now feel like a monster because nobody will trust me because of my parent.
What? I like Imagine Dragons.
I walked out of the woods and saw Cammie with her bag slung over her shoulder. Her eyes stared at the ground, like she was thinking something. She looked up at me and grinned. "Yo! What's up?" She smirked. I could tell she had something on her mind, but I knew if I asked, she would just say nothing was wrong. That's the thing, besides being afraid of being alone, she has Asthenophobia, the fear of showing weakness.
"Nothing. Where's Rosa?" I asked.
Cammie shrugged. "Beats me." Her eyes were glancing around, like she was searching something. "What are you looking for?" I rose a brow.
"Someone told me to meet them here." She said.
"Who?" I asked.
"Why don't you find Rosa?" Cammie asked, giving me a 'I want to be alone' look. But I crossed my arms and popped out my hip. "Tell me."
"It's nothing!" She snapped, blushing slightly.
"It's Not nothing. Who is going to meet you here?"I said still with my arms crossed. She gave in and said,"I'm here to meet Leo..."
"Ooh... Somebody's got a crush..."I teased her. She uncontrollably  blushed as red as a tomato.
"Well you have a crush on Nico!"She defended herself. I could tell I was blushing because my cheeks felt warmer than usual. As if on cue Leo and Nico walked towards us and Cammie and I shut up right away.
"Woah! Are you two blushing? Is it because of me?"Leo said.
"Gross!"I said.
"Hey that's not very nice, right Nico?"Leo complained.
"If I were her I would say the same thing."Nico said.
"You guys are mean."Leo said. "What about you Cammie?"
"What I... umm... I don't know."Cammie stuttered the words out. I gave her a look.
"Cammie you keep my secret I will keep yours."I said.
"Agreed."Cammie said.
"What secret?"Nico asked.
"Nothing" Cammie said talking to Nico but looked at me. I felt a sigh of relief in me. It looked like she felt it too. Cammie and Leo walked away talking to each other.
"What secret?"Nico repeated.
"Nothing."I replied. I could tell Nico didn't buy it.
"Where are you sleeping tonight?"Nico asked.
"Why?"
"Cause I don't want the same thing to happen."he replied. Oh yeah the eyes, me running away. That stuff.
"Umm... most likely the same tree."I said. "I don't have a cabin and I don't think anybody would want me in their cabins, or the gods."
"Ok just checking."Nico said. He just disappeared. I walked to the tree. I got to get a closer look at the tree because the sun was setting with the pink and orange highlights. It is a willow tree. One of my favorite trees ever. I climbed the tree and fell asleep.
