Suprise!

Nico... hugged...me. Why would he hug me?
As if he was reading my mind he said, "Because...Just in case we don't see each other for a while...again."
I smiled and hugged him back. He smelled like the dying embers of a fire or the air when the sun sets. He smelled like death in general, not the way where he smells like dead people. 
"Be safe." He said departing from the hug.
"Ok." I said. We started to look into each other's eyes. His eyes are dark blueish black and they looked warm. Like when someone's eyes look cold, it's evil eyes but this was just the opposite. I could see worry in his eyes. The eye contact caused a small blush to appear on my face. His face slowly began to move toward mine. My heartbeat speed up at the thought of him kissing me.
"Syder!" Cammie yelled, ruining the moment. "Are we going or not?" I spun around with a fist ready, seeing a smirking Cammie. "Oh, did I interrupt something? Sorry. Do continue."
"Cammie!" I snapped. "Shut up!"
"No!" She laughed. She raised her eyebrows at me and I punched her arm.
I snapped out of my daydreams and said, "Uncap your marker."
Cammie nodded. I flicked my wrists outwards and my sword, Gi, sprang out. This sword keeps on getting better and better. The cave was dark so I made the sword glow green. Then again this sword is cool but not as cool as Cammie's. Her sword started to glow as well as mine, but a yellow gold light.
We walked deeper into the cave leaving light behind with Leo and Nico. Let's hope nothing happens. Of course something will happen. I gotta think positive. I am positive that something bad will happen. Wow I'm such a downer aren't I?
I could just barely see Nico with his hands in his pockets with a sad face. Aw... Now I just wanted to run right back to him. We had to finish this quest though. I don't know how we are going to beat Rhea but we will have to try.
The light coming from our swords I could see Cammie's face pale. I moved a little closer to her. As we continued into the cave I saw something move. I stopped in my tracks and grabbed her arm and put one finger to my lip. I heard feet shuffling. Our backs were against each other. I saw a shadow that looked like a person. Wait now there was two shadows. Oh no. One of them started to walk towards me while the other walking towards Cammie.
Cammie and I both swing our swords at the same time. We heard them say ow. Those voices sounded familiar. Let me guess...
"Nico!" I screamed.
"Leo!" Cammie screamed.
Cammie and I got a closer look at them Leo had a scar on the side of his face going diagonally. Nico had a scar across his neck.
"Oh my gods! I'm so sorry!" I started to fuss over Nico.
"It's ok. It's our fault for sneaking up on you two." Nico said grabbing my hands and putting them back to my side.
"It's ok with me too, Princess." Leo said with a toothy smile.
Cammie and I sighed in relief.
"You guys aren't supposed to be here. It can only be Cammie and me." I whispered.
"Yeah it is our part of the quest." Cammie said.
"Sorry but we're not going to loose you two again." Leo said.
We came to the end of the cave. What's going on? Nothing is here.
CRACK!
"What was that?" Nico asked. "Did you two ever go to the end?" Cammie and I shook our heads no.
The ceiling started to cave in and a rock fell of Cammie. I used my powers to get the rock off of her. I couldn't stop the rock in time. Cammie was bleeding and Leo took her into his arms, her head leaning on his chest. Blood seeped from her forehead where the ceiling must have scraped her, staining Leo's shirt slightly. Her eyes were closed, marking that she was probably unconscious.
"Cammie!" Leo shook her. Her eyes opened and she groaned. I heard something down the hallway. I spun Gi around while Cammie sat up still in Leo's arms. That must have been what her bleeding dream was about! That rock fell on her head in her dream!
"Leo you stay here with Cammie while Nico and I check out this cave. I know we are not alone." I told Leo.
Nico and I started to walk towards the entrance of the cave. Then we heard a vicious laugh echo throughout the cave.
"I see you four have reunited."
Rhea!
"You're the one who separated us! You son of a Gorgon!"I screamed. Let's just say I said gorgon, since this is a child's book.
"Why are you saying that I'm a son of a Gorgon?! I'm a woman thank you very much, sister. And not of a gorgon" She growled at me.
I snarled at her pointing my sword towards her.
"Oh don't worry, sister. I will not do any harm to you or your boyfriend here." She glanced at Nico with a smirk. "I just want to kill your friend, Cammie, of yours!" Then she disappeared.
Nico and I looked at each other blushing from her calling Nico my boyfriend and started to run back to Cammie and Leo. Cammie and Leo were...um...kissing, Leo's hand on Cammie's cheek. Now I can tease her! Sorry I got sidetracked. Where is Rhea? Wait we must now be trapped in here.
"I um...don't mean to interrupt anything but...Rhea is here."I stammered. Leo and Cammie pulled away blushing and she gave me a 'don't you dare make fun of me' look. 
"So, where is Rhea?" Cammie asked.
"I dunno. She disappeared saying she was gonna kill you." I said.
I heard of voice, Gaea's, in my head saying, "You will be separated from the daughter of Hera. And the separation will kill her."
"Sydney? You okay? You just turned pale." Nico asked, touching my hand. I shook my head.
"No, I'm fine." I said. Nico rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, ok."
"I'm telling the truth!" I insisted.
"Sure." Nico sat down, leaning against the wall. "While Cammie heals, we should all rest. We need it."
"I'm fine." Cammie said, standing up. Immediately, Cammie's face paled and she stumbled, causing Leo to catch her.
"Sure you are, princess." Leo smirked.
"Shut up, hammerhead." Cammie said under her breath.
Soon, we were all sitting around a fire Leo made, while he made some tacos he pulled from his magic tool belt. Cammie kept making sure that her's was pure dairy free and Leo kept telling her there was no cheese in tacos unless she added it. She's lactose intolerant.
With her bandages and that little gleam of obnoxiousness in her eyes, I could almost imagine her as that same girl at school, getting hurt too easily. But, she definitely wasn't. Now, she was saying she was fine after getting crushed by a rock. How was this the same girl who would almost cry after getting scratched?
Cammie was now a warrior. Now when she gets hurt she acts like it is nothing. The only thing I'm worried about is her fears of being alone and useless. Even though she is strong I still want to protect her the best I can.
"What are you thinking? You're thinking of something."Nico said when Leo and Cammie fell asleep.
"It's nothing." I lied.
"Oh I know you're lying." He said back.
"Shut up." I said with my eyes glowing.
"I'm not afraid to you anymore." Nico said with a smirk. "Your eyes just turn green."
"So you were afraid of me! I knew it! My eyes don't just turn green. Nobody can escape the earth itself. I am half earth, so nobody can escape me." I said.
Nico was speechless on that comment. I walked over to him and sat down next to him.
"I'll take first watch. You can sleep." I said. Nico's eyes looked like black eyes I guessed from his lack of sleep.
"No. I will." He said back to me.
"Nope. Even if you do take first watch I won't be able to fall asleep." I said with a smirk.
"Fine then we could both have first watch." Nico came up with a conclusion.
"Fine." I said.
We both watched to cave for anything. Nico summoned about ten dead people to guard the four of us. Then he fell asleep, or what I thought. I stood up when I thought he was asleep, he gripped my wrist and pulled me back down.
"Oh you are not going anywhere." He said letting go of my wrist. "I can't risk losing you again."
He pulled me closer to him so his arm was around me.
"Time for second watch and I call it." Nico chuckled.
"I'm wide awake. Good luck trying to get me asleep." I said. "Plus first watch isn't even over, Ghost King."
"Hey you called me Ghost King." He said.
"Sorry, Death Boy!" I smirked.
"So we're back to this, Dirt Girl."
"Can you think about another name for me?" I asked. He was silent. "I knew you wouldn't be able to come with one." I smirked.
"I will." He said.
"Fine."
I fell asleep after our talk. Surprisingly I didn't have a nightmare. I woke up still in Nico's arms. My head was against his chest, but then I realized where we were and I jumped up and noticed that everyone was alright.
"And Everyone's Kung Fu fighting!" Cammie sang.
"Shut up." I said annoyed.
Cammie and Leo laughed. Nico just chuckled. Cammie raised her eyebrows at me.
"Shut up" I repeated.
Cammie laughed some more while Leo had a confused look on his face. Cammie whispered something in his ear and his eyes got real big and he started to raise his eyebrows at me.
"Cammie...What did you tell him..." I slowly said.
"I told him about you and he who must not be named." Cammie joked around.
"Who must not be named? Is this some Harry Potter stuff?" Nico asked.
Cammie chuckled, "Nice reference. I told Leo about Sydney and..."
I covered her mouth before she could say anything else. Leo stood up and said, "Sydney has a crush on you!"
I blushed and lunged at Leo's throat. Nico pulled me away before I could strangle him. Why did it have to be him?
"Sydney! He's my boyfriend!" Cammie yelled.
    "I don't care right now! I just want to kill him now!" I struggled to break free. Leo burst on fire and then Nico let go of me thinking that I would not even dare touch him now that he was on fire. Nice try Leo!, I thought.
I went to strangle him and burned my hands. Ow! That hurt! I pulled away my hands and put them in some mud. My hands started to heal instantly. I didn't know that I could do that! It was just instinctive to me.
I stood up and Leo was no longer on fire. Three pairs of eyes fell on me.
"I know what you're all going to say. I don't know how I did that. It was just my instincts."I said. I looked at my hands again and there were no marks. If I could heal myself. Can I heal other people?
"Cammie come here. I want to try something." I said picking up some mud.
"Why..." She asked.
"I want to see if I can heal other people." I responded. She walked over and I put a dab of mud on her scar and concentrated real hard. The scar started to disappear. Nico gave me a water bottle and I washed away the mud.
I felt a burning on my forehead and held my hand to it. I was bleeding. I took Cammie's scar and replaced it to me.  
"Oh my gods!" Cammie shreked.
My head started to spin. How could Cammie say she was fine? This is painful... I started to fall but Nico caught me.
"What is going on?" Leo asked me.
"I took her scar. I didn't think that would happen. I just wanted to try to heal her. I think I will leave the healing to the Apollo kids." I said. Now I felt Cammie's pain. Again how could she deal with this? Sydney just took my scar! Why would she do that?
"I just wanted to see if I could heal you, Cammie!" I said.
Her eyes got wide and she said, "You can hear my thoughts?"
"What are you talking about? You just were thinking out loud." I said trying to defend myself.
"No. How about I think something and you have to respond." She said. I nodded. What is my favorite color?
"Blue." I said. "Blue is your favorite color."
"Yeah you can read my thoughts. I wonder if I can read yours..." She continued. "Think of something and I have to respond back to you." I nodded again speechless.
Cammie and Leo sitting in a tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G!, I thought.
"Shut up!" Cammie yelled at me. I laughed.
"This could be fun." I said.
"What did she say?" Nico asked her eyeballing the two of us.
"She said the kissing song about me and Leo." Cammie wined. Leo smirked. "Shut up, Hammerhead."
"We have this thought link thing then." I said.
"The correct term is empathy link." Nico said.

Shut up, I thought.

Yes.
Nico and Leo looked at us funny cause we were looking at each other like we were going to murder each other.
"Don't ask. It's complicated." I said annoyed.
"Okay..."Leo said backing away from me moving closer to Cammie. Cammie whispered another thing in Leo's ear. I couldn't tell what she was saying all she was thinking was how mad I would be when they sang a song out loud to me.
"Sydney and Nico sitting in a tree! K.I.S.S.I.N.G.!" They both sang it at the same time. Nico and I blushed. I then came to my senses and tackled Cammie to the ground while Nico tackled Leo to the ground. I floated Cammie and me on a rock.
Let me down!
No thank you, I thought. I could literally feel her fear.
Fine, have it your way. Then Cammie screamed in her head, causing me to drop her.
           Cammie smirked at me. "Haha." She stuck out her tongue. "This'll be fun."
I rolled my eyes. "So, what now?"
"We figure out a plan." Nico said as I flew down from my rock. "Sydney you are in no condition to fight, you have to take it easy."
"Yeah right! I will fight even when I'm hurt. Plus I can just use my powers if I want." I said.
"But you need rest now that you took Cammie's scar." Nico said.
"If I can heal it will you leave me alone? I won't have to rest and be useless?" I asked with my eyebrows raised.
"I guess so." Nico said.
I ran back over to the mud and applied it on my forehead. I could feel the cut closing and the blood disappearing.
    Cammie started to shift on her feet. "My cloak can heal me it just takes time. Sydney you didn't have to take my scar, it would have healed anyways."
    "I just wanted to try that to see if I could heal in the future. Don't worry about me."I said with a half smile. My healing took a little while but I finally finished.
    Sydney?
    Yeah.
    What are we going to do? What if we get separated again?
    All I can say is let's hope not.
    Ok.
We all started to walk out of the cave until we heard a boy's laugh.
"Surprise!"
