WHAT...IS...THAT?

So....I got attacked by a monster. I know what you're thinking 'Monsters are not real. So if I were you I would get my head out of the clouds and GET A LIFE!'. Well if you're thinking that, well, PUT THIS BOOK AWAY OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND THEN I WILL-
      Cammie is telling me to calm down but I like scaring the public. Now she's telling me to just get back to the story. Ugh fine.

For whatever reason Mr. Pretzel (yeah I called him that) got arrangements for Cammie's and my class to get together for a lesson. The thing that I realized was that nobody came to class except Cammie, Rosa, Luna, and me. Then I started to get suspicious. We all sat at the front of the classroom and waited patiently for the rest of the students to come with the teacher, but nobody came.
I started to tap my foot, I can not stop moving, I also had ADHD which went along perfectly with the dyslexia.
In the front on the room was the whiteboard and the teacher's desk in the far left corner. On the opposite wall was artwork by students and there was four computers that lined the wall.
CREEK.....
The door was opening very slowly and Mr. Pretzer walked in slowly saying words in a different language that somehow I understood.
"Where are the rest of the students?"I asked
"They're at the library." he said with a deeper voice than usual.
His skin started to melt away and turned into a woman which then turned into an old bat lady. I was having some major deja vu but then realized what this thing was. It looked like a monster I was studying from greek mythology but I just couldn't put a finger on it...
"BAT LADY!"screamed Luna
"I'm sorry deary but the correct term is that I am a Fury or people like to call my sisters and I 'The Kindly Ones' but you won't have enough time to call me--" bat lady did a high pitched scream and exploded into a golden yellow dust revealing a boy.
This boy was dressed in all black like me but had a... what!? He had a black sword that must have killed the Fury. He had black choppy hair that covered parts of his eyes. His eyes from what I could see was a very dark brown that was almost black. His pale skin had a dark shadow over his face.
    "Come with me."the strange boy said. I stand up and block him from going near my friends.
"No" I said.
He looked at me confused. "Did you not see what that thing was? We have to go or more of them will come." He warned.
I thought about that for a second then said,"Where are you going to take us?"
"To a camp where you four will be safe." he said.
"How could we trust you? First of all we don't even know your name, second what do you mean more of them will come. Do you mean more Furies?"I asked. I did not want my friends to get hurt.
"My name is Nico Di Angelo. There's more than Furies. There are more worst monsters than you can imagine."he said.
"When you killed that monster you sent it back to Tartarus right? But soon it'll be reborn and come back to mortal world." I asked.
"How do you know that?"Nico asked.
"I studied greek mythology."I answered.
    Luna then spoke up and said,"I don't want to see more monsters today. Sydney, are you done asking him questions so we can leave?"
    "Ok let's just get a move on but first I have something that might help us at my house."I said. My friends walked out the door into the hallway. Then I said to Nico,"I'm watching you. You better not put my friends into danger." Then I walked out.
    We all went to our lockers to grab our backpacks. When I went into my locker I grabbed a couple of pens, my notebook, and the sharp rocks that were in my locker. Well I think it is time to explain the rocks in my locker. When the first prophecy happened the following school day I brought in the sharp rocks because there was a school rule not to bring weapons, and I thought rocks are not weapons they are just rocks, unless you use them like weapons.....
We walked down the three flights of stairs in silence. I was in the back to watch Nico because I still didn't trust him even though he saved our lives. As we walked out of school the front office didn't even notice which was weird.
"How come the teachers didn't even notice us."I said once we were in the left side parking lot.
"The mist."Nico said.
I decided not to ask what 'the mist' was. He lead us to a black car which wasn't in bad shape.
"Umm... how are you going to drive the car?"Rosa asked.
As if on cue Nico raised the... what? He just raised the dead. This was getting more and more weird as the day went on.
"This is who's gonna drive us to your houses to get supplies and then to New York."Nico explained.
So that is where the camp is, it is in New York, I thought to myself. The Big Apple. Who is this Nico kid and how did he raise the dead and why is he bringing us to a camp?
"Who are you really? You just raised the dead."I questioned him.
"I'm a son of Hades, that's why I can summon the dead."he said.
"So we are children of the gods?" said Luna.
"Yeah, pretty much."
We sat down inside the car. The seats were made of tan leather. First we drove to Cammie's house because it was the closest. She unlocked the door for us to go inside, we all waited in the kitchen while she went to get clothes. She went up her very steep stairs down the hall. I started to wait impatiently and started to tap my foot.
"ADHD?"Nico asked.
"I umm... Yeah"I replied. ADHD is when you get distracted easily and are extremely hyper. Finally Cammie came back down with a different backpack and then took some snacks out of her fridge. Then we all went to Rosa's then Luna's house. Last was my house because I was the farthest from the school. I told them to wait outside but Cammie came with me anyways, but I didn't care. None of my parents were home but I said hello to my puppy that was also named Nikko but a different spelling.
I walked to my room with Cammie following me, then she asked me,"What do you have against Nico?"
"I just don't trust him yet."I replied as I went into my closet to get a new backpack which was bigger and transferred the rocks, pens, and my notebook in it.
"But he saved our lives and you know it."
I ignored that sentence and went over to my dresser and pulled out five t-shirts and six pairs of pants. I then put my two knives that were on top of my dresser and went into the kitchen. Cammie must have known I didn't want to talk about Nico at the moment and dropped the subject. I went into the fridge and retrieved seven bottles of water and snacks. I then went over to the cabinet and took out the jar of peanut butter.
"Why peanut butter?"Cammie asked as she took the peanut butter and screamed "I GOT PEANUT BUTTER AND I'M GONNA KILL YOU WITH IT!" I laughed and took it back. What I just like peanut butter.
I then took five kitchen knives and said,"This might by us some time if we encounter anymore monsters."
I had to say 'goodbye' to Nikko and he looked sad so I went back into the cabinets and grabbed him one of his favorite bones. We headed back outside and passed out the knives to each other when we were in the car.
