"Dave I'm not sure if I even want to go to Vegas," I honestly told my trainer into the phone.

"Look it's on the twelfth and today is only the fifth," he told me. "If you want to go to Vegas then the deadline to sign you up is today."

"But..."

"Look, Greer, I know you, you're going to change your mind about Vegas within the next week. My advice is go to Vegas, spend some time there. Bring a friend or some family, and get out of Oregon for a bit. Then after the fight spend some time down there until it's time to go to Orlando."

I furrowed my eyebrows and let Atlanta outside, "I didn't even know Orlando was in the picture."

"Don't you think it would be good practice for the tour in Australia?"

There was a long pause on the phone before I finally replied, "Sign me up for them. I'll be ready."

I waited to hear a knock that the door. I knew she would be here any moment now. Lord knows I don't have any friends, so I decided to invite the one person who was constantly there for me.

Finally, after pacing back and forth in the front room for about fifteen minutes, the doorbell rang. Atlanta barked and ran over to the door faster than I could. I swung the door open to reveal Jamie.

"Hi Jamie," I smiled, "Common in."

"I'm assuming you're going to that Vegas tournament right?" She grinned at me and ran her hands through Atlanta's fur.

"I am," I nodded. I closed the door once she stepped inside and we walked into the kitchen.

"Okay what days will you be gone?" she questioned. "So I won't make plans for that time."

"Acutally, I was going to offer you to go with me," I broke the news to her. She looked at me, while I just looked down at my feet. It was quiet in the giant house for a few moments. The only sound being my dog's panting. For an unexplainable reason, I was slightly embarassed to offer her to come along. Not like I was embarassed of her, I just didn't think she would want to go with her employer. Especially since she knows my lack of friends.

"Really?" Jamie said, causing me to look up at her. "I would love to go."

"Great," I smiled, "I will make arrangements for Atlanta to come along, so she isn't alone. I'll even pay for you to watch her while I'm fighting."

"I would love that," she told me and sat down in one of the stools. "What days would we be going?"

"We would leave for Vegas on the eleventh. Then leave for Orlando on the night of thirteenth so I can fight there on the fifteenth."

"Then we'd come home?"

"Yea we would come back the night after the Orlando fight," I told her. Then very quickly afterwards said, "Unless you would like to come back sooner."

"No that sounds amazing," she told me. "I'll plan to leave on the eleventh. I'll be ready."

"Okay," I said getting excited about the trip now that I wouldn't be so alone. "My driver will take us to the airport around nine in the morning."

"Sound's like a plan."

"For sure," I replied.

Ezra Morgan:
Any upcoming fights for you?

Greer Steel:
I'm going to Vegas, Orlando, then to the MMA tour in Australia during the beginning of August.
Anything new going on with you? What did I miss the past ten 10 years?

Ezra Morgan:
So much stuff, I don't even know where to begin. Um... I have a girlfriend now?

Greer Steel:
Hey! That's cool and new. What's her name?

Ezra Morgan:
Thank you! and it's Kameron, we live together right now I love her so much.
I really would love for you to meet her. Are you dating anyone?

Greer Steel:
No actually, I live alone

I hated the feeling of telling Ezra that I was alone. I hated being alone, but I always ended up this way. I waited patiently for her reply but figured it was passed one in the morning and we probably lived in different time zones. Even though I had no idea where she lived now. Eventually I turned off my laptop and sighed to myself, sitting in the darkness of my study. Atlanta was curled up at my feet, making a tiny snoring noise every time she inhaled. I took off my glasses, which I hardly ever wore, and placed then back in the top drawer of my desk. Despite being as late as it was, my mind was buzzing with the thought of maybe seeing Ezra again. Hell, I was estatic that we were even catching up with eachother.

I whistled to wake up Atlanta and we left the room together. She followed me to my giant bedroom and jumped straight onto my bed, making herself at home on the opposite side of where I sleep. While I changed into a pair of shorts and a giant T-shirt, she quickly fell back asleep. I crawled in next to my dog and ruffled her fur until I slowly got drowsy and drifted off to sleep.
