*Back at the hotel later that night*

I laid in bed texting my brother about what happened with Kameron that night at the party, he kept apologizing to me and he explained that he had already started packing her things for her and that he already sent an email to our landlord that she would need to be removed from our lease.

Honestly, I am probably coming off as a complete dick but I am just extremely hurt. Heartbroken really. I had given Kameron everything I could and I wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with her and I just couldn't anymore and I deserve better.

Instead of dwelling on my heart break I decided to get some sleep before the next day because it was going to be full of preparation and fights with the event.

*10:30 the next morning*

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I woke up to my alarm on my phone going off, signaling it was time for me to get up. I stretched my arms out and yawned before shutting the alarm off and making my way to the bathroom to shower.

This was it. Tonight was the fights and I was nervous. Nervous because I didn't want my personal life to affect my fights in a negative way. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and decided to shake the negative thoughts out of my head.

"You have got this. You are THE Ezra Morgan. It's fight night. Get your shit together." I thought to myself as I stood there. I was getting more and more pumped as I thought of the adrenaline rush I was going to get tonight.

I unlocked my phone and opened my Spotify as I waited for the shower to warm up, I clicked on my playlists and selected to the on named 'Ryan' and the familiar notes of the song 'Where the Sun Sets' by Ryan Caraveo started to play. I jumped in the shower and washed away my worries while listening to my favorite rapper.

Once out of the shower I braided my hair into boxer braids and threw on some sweatpants and a sports bra. I grabbed my bag and headed to the arena. Once in the car, I called my trainer so we could discuss strategy for tonight since he wasn't joining me until Australia.

Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring!

The call rang through the car as I waited for Mark to Answer.

"Hey Kiddo!" Mark's masculine voice came through the speaker after about the fifth ring.

"Hey Mark! Have the posted opponent's yet for tonight?"

"No, apparently, they aren't announcing them until you guys are actually in the ring. Why? I have no fucking clue. Sorry kiddo I don't know how to prep you for something like this."

"You're okay. What do you think I should prep for?" I asked him as I pulled up to a red light.

"Just do our basic warm ups, maybe go for a small run and stretch and make sure you drink lots of water. I have a trainer friend of mine who is going to meet you at the arena and I hired security for you as well. It's supposed to be a very big event so I want to keep my prize fighter safe." He said to me.

"Oh shit alright thanks Mark!! I'll warm up and stretch and do you proud. See you in two days." I said to end the call.

"Good luck Champ!" Mark said before hanging up.

The call ended just in time for me to pull up to the arena. I parked behind the building where all the other fighters and their trainers where parking. I grabbed my duffle bag from the back seat as I looked around me wondering who I was going to be fighting.

I saw a lot of familiar faces as I walked up to the check in desk.

"Ezra Morgan" I said to the kind looking old lady sitting at the desk.

"Oh! You've already been checked in. Your dressing room is down the hall, take your first left and then it is the second door on the right." She smiled at me as she wrapped a wristband around my wrist.

I nodded and said thank you before heading to my room.

Outside my dressing room there were two body guards on either side of the door and one more just inside the room. I smiled at them and set my bag on the floor.

"Ezra!" a male voice said from further in the room.

"Ummm h.h..h..hello?" I stuttered out. (I have a bad stutter. Normally I have it under control but sometimes it slips out)

The male voice emerged from the bathroom, and it belonged to a tall muscular man with black hair and piercing blue eyes. "Hi Ezra, I'm Mark's friend Hunter Jackson. He asked me to come coach you through tonight." He said as he stuck out his hand.

I shook his hand firmly and jokingly said "Well, Hi. I would introduce myself but it seems you already know me."

We both laughed a little before jumping into talking about the fights tonight.

*Fast forward to 7:00 pm. *

I was dressed in my red sports bra and black boxer shorts with my hair still in boxer braids and my red sneakers and a gold silk robe as Hunter and I walked into the arena.

We stood in the doorway and watched the director of the fights rushing around. He came to stand by us and said, "Alright, you ready?"

I nodded my head yes and that's when I heard the familiar...

Three!

Two!

One!

Walk!

I started to walk through the doorway.

"Ladies and Gentlemen: Ezra Morgan"

My name was called over the loud speakers. The crowd went insane and I started to bounce on my feet a little. I climbed through the rings ropes in one fluid motion and slid my robe off and handed it to Hunter.

"Alright, get a good look at your opponent. Study her and get your head right." Hunter said as he turned me around and started rubbing my shoulders

I looked at the girl I was fighting. She was a skinny little blonde girl with her hair in a ponytail wearing blue shorts. Her name is Alexus Daniel. I'd fought her before. She beat me twice when I first started and I beat her about a year and a half ago but I haven't fought her since so I was excited.

I really started bouncing on my feet then. Hunter slipped my mouth guard into my mouth just as the ref motioned us both toward each other. We bumped gloved and it began.

Roud One! Fight!!

I swung my right fist toward her. She blocked it and tried to kick my left side. I took a step back and kicked her in the right side. She stumbled back a little in shock. I took that opportunity to punch her in the jaw.

Alexus retaliated by swinging her left fist and hitting me in the hip. I shook it off and landed a solid punch to her right side of her jaw. She stumbled again and I kicked her off her feet.

She fell onto her ass and I kicked her just right in the side of the head and knocked her out. The ref pushed me back then and called it. Signaling that I won and would advance to the next round.

"Shit!! Kid you kicked ass!!" Hunter said to me as I climbed out of the ring.

I smiled a little and said "And that was just round 1"
