Bonus Scene

Sitting in bed, I wondered what I was going to ware today. Jesse said he was gonna come over to take me out for lunch, but I wasn't even close to being ready. I was actually playing on my phone.

I reached over and pulled the drawer open, grabbing the shiny black ring I haven't looked at for several months. I played with it, the cool metal feeling nice between my finger tips.

"I miss you babe. So much, I hope you're enjoying heaven up there with my dad. Tell him I said hi," I laugh softly.

I looked at the small engraving, a small smile on my lips. "I promise I'll protect you." I held the ring up before slipping it onto my finger, marveling it.
