A/N: Night sky in Mamoria :D

Zoe's jaw tightened while shooting daggers at her soon to be bodyguard. The way he presented himself made her think she was missing something important. She wondered if it was his raven black hair.
Darcy arrived at the end of the table in silence. He stood beside Siegfrid and lightly bowed his head while facing him, "Mr. Beaupré."
"Zoe, I would like you to meet your personal bodyguard," he declared, gesturing at the young man, "Darcy Le Roi."
He faced Zoe and bowed, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Zoe."
She stared at his black eyes with her mouth agape. His face was familiar, but the eyes were different. Still, she couldn't be mistaken.
"Youuuuuuuu?!" She bellowed with pure rage.
Her ninja instincts kicked in. She grabbed the pancakes and sent them flying across the table like shurikens, aiming at the ungrateful maggot that she saved. However, before she could even celebrate a victory, her jaw dropped at the sight of Darcy's moves, catching all the pancakes like a pro--even the one that almost hit her brother.
"Zoe!" Patricia hissed, furrowing her brow. "Where are your manners?!"
"But--"
Her older sister simply shook her head and gave Siegfrid a nervous glance. Zoe pursed her lips and glared at Darcy, nevertheless, the bodyguard had no intentions of pulling back. He let out a satisfied smirk, which boiled Zoe's blood to the highest degree that she could have been whistling.
The absence of sound didn't last as a chocolate muffin sailed across the antique table, and landed at the chocolate fondue with a sweet splat. It covered their faces with the heavenly mixture, except for Darcy who used the pancakes as cover.
Catalina giggled from their surprised faces, her missing tooth in front was visible from her wide grin. She glanced on her lap and grabbed the next muffin, allowing her wavy blonde hair to cover her face.
She let it flew with another giggle, and mimicked, "Yoouuuu~"
Everyone watched as the muffin soar like a fatal bomb, even the birds stopped singing at that moment. But this time, the bread simply bounced off on the pile of scones.
Zoe snapped from her shock and snatched the chocolate muffin from Catalina.
"Stop it, Ka-Ka."
A deep sigh echoed and the sound of a chair scraping on the floor filled the room. Zoe looked up and saw Patricia approach.
"Playing with food is not a good trait for a young princess, Catalina." Her beautiful makeup was now ruined by the luscious treat. "Come, we should get cleaned and prepare for your birthday party."
Patricia lifted the little girl into her arms and began walking out of the room. They watched as the two left the hall, filling the room with soft tock tock tock sounds caused by her high heels.
There was another sound of a chair scrapping on the floor. Zoe spun. This time, her brother was rising from his seat while wiping the chocolate off his face.
"Brother..." she mumbled.
"I'll be leaving for work. Patricia will stay to look after the party." He placed the napkin on the table and shifted his cold gaze to Zoe. "Until Darcy deemed you as a responsible teenager, he will serve as your bodyguard. I don't want to hear the same matter when I get back, so do this family a favor. Help Patricia with the birthday party while behaving yourself."
She nodded, not meeting his gaze.
"Never leave her side." He ordered, patting the young man on the shoulder.
She watched as another member of their family left the dining hall. It had been a while since someone joined her and Catalina for breakfast. Now that they had the chance, it was ruined because of her.
The doors behind Siegfrid closed, leaving the two with only the sound of chirping birds.
"So, it's just the two of us having breakfast," Darcy said, walking to take a seat across from Zoe.
The red haired girl spun and glowered at the young man. Bright hues of red were now lacing her neck. Her hands itched, wanting to strangle his neck, but she restrained herself.
"Go have breakfast on your own!" she bellowed and threw the chocolate muffin she had been holding. "You can even eat the table if you want, Darcy!"
She rolled her eyes on him and stormed out of the room, her shoes squeaking violently.
"That's minus one point for bad attitude," Darcy shouted.
"You got no jams, so you deserved it!"
Zoe covered her ears and ran before she could even hear his response.
