++++Rosalie's POV++++

****Fast Forward 2 Months****

It is now April and thing couldn't be better between Nathan and I. Getting this house together has been so beneficial to our relationship. With buying new furniture to decorating together we have spent more time together. Moving has really helped me to forget about what happened when we lived in downtown. Final exams have just finished which I'm glad they did because that was stressful. Because of my concussion I had to catch up on a semester's worth of work in such a sort time after I recovered. Switching to sports journalism was probably the best decision I've made at McGill, now onto sophomore year! My team did very well this season, but I was unable to play again because of the concussion I had was so severe. They won the OUA East Quarter Final, but lost in the semi finals. It was sad not being able to finish off the season because I loved my team so much, but it was for the better.

Tonight is our team banquet so everyone that helped with the team is honored and then they will also name the new captains because he's graduating this year and isn't coming back for grad school here.

"You ready to go?" Nathan asked me while he put on his tie.

"Not yet I have to put my dress on." I said.

Speaking of Nathan he is completely healed. He has been skating with the team while they still have some practices left because they are out of the playoffs at this point. It was sad to see them fall apart because so many of their key players have gotten injured.

"Can you zip me up?" I asked.

"Can you zip me up?" I asked

"Yes, beautiful." Nathan said. "Are you nervous?"

"Not for tonight no, but for tomorrow." I said quietly.

"I'm going to be with you the whole time tomorrow so you have nothing to worry about." Nathan kissed me.

Tomorrow is the day I have been dreading for two months now. Tomorrow is the day that I face the court to get Cedric thrown in jail.

"Let's enjoy tonight, and not worry about anything else. Okay?" he asked.

"Okay."

When we got to the banquet being held at the Queen Elizabeth I quickly went over to my teammates.

"ROSIE!!!!" they surrounded me in a huge group hug.

"I've missed you guys so much!"

"How have you been?" Hugo asked me.

"Really great actually." I told him.

"Nathan treating you well?" he asked.

"Better than well he makes me so happy." I smiled.

"That's great to hear." Hugo hugged me again.

"Ladies and gentlemen please go to your assigned tables so we can begin the evening." the MC said.

"I think that we are at the same table." he said.

"Great!"

At our table it was me, Nathan, Hugo and his girlfriend, Alexis and his girlfriend.

Throughout the night there were several awards given to current and former players. It was actual quiet boring until after dinner came around when they announced the captain for next season.

"Everyone please quiet down please. I would like to have Benoit Levesque (I have know clue who the actual captain is just chose one from he roster) to come up along with the coaches." the MC said.

"Well this is it, time to reveal the captain for next season." Coach Nobes said.

"Me and the alternate captains have chosen that the alternate captains will remain the same for next season, but only the captain position be changed since I will be graduating. This person deserves this position the most. They show so much compassion towards the team, and really wants the best for everyone on it. So without a further a do your 2016-2017 captain is............ Rosalie Eller." Benoit said.

"No fucking way this can't be happening." I said in utter shock.

"Congrats babe." Nathan said and kissed me.

"Congrats Rosie." Alexis and Hugo said and hugged me as I got up to go on stage.

"Wow umm this is just amazing. I'm truly honored and shocked by this decision. Never in my years of playing hockey did I think that I could make it to university level playing. I knew I was good, but not that good. Never did I think that I could be a female playing in a men's league. Never did I believe that I was good enough to be a female captain of a men's university team. It is an honor to be recognized in such a way. I promise to my team and my coaching staff that next season I will not let you down, and you can count on me for anything. I am ready for the challenges and responsibility that comes with this role. Thank you so much." I said and everyone clapped as I got off stage.

"Spoken like a true leader." Nathan said.

"Come on let's go home and celebrate." I winked.

"Right behind you." he laughed.
