Chapter 11

ALEX

In a very short time in life, I didn't expect to know some stuff in life that I really don't understand.  I can't even last a day without thinking about her. Sa araw-araw na ginawa ng Diyos, we're acting like a fool kid! And I'm sick of it. Nagsasawa na ako kakaisip ng paraan para lang magkaayos kami. Dumaan ang mga araw na nagpakatanga ako para sakanya, kinakausap ko siya kahit wala akong sagot na nakukuha mula sakanya. Nagpprepare ako ng Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for her pero kahit isang kutsara hindi niya tinikman. I always wear a smile anytime I talk to her but she didn't appreciate it. I'm just Alex Seville, a guy from nowhere who accidentally fell with the charm of Elisha Mertinez. I don't know where, when or how did I feel that way.

I am here in the kitchen, I'm done preparing her favorite dish but she didn't come out on her room. Yes, room na niya ata yun? Sa couch na ako natutulog because she doesn't want me to sleep beside her and it really break my heart apart. Narinig kong bumukas ang pinto ng kwarto niya and there she is still wearing her PJ's. Ngumiti ako sakanya.

"Goodmorning, Wifey." 

It takes a 20 seconds before she responds.

"Morning." she answered without looking at me. But it's okay atleast sumagot siya.

"Wanna eat?" I asked. Parang tanga na ako kakangit dito oh? HAHAH

"No, kakain nalang ako sa labas." That hits me! BIGTIME!

"But, it's your favorite! Look, hindi siya sunog." Pinilit kong ngumiti habang ipinapakita ang luto ko.

"I'm sorry, pero hindi ko siya gustong kainin ngayon. You should eat it. Don't worry about me." Paalis na siya pero hindi ko napigilan pagsalitaan siya. I so done with this! God! For Pete's Sake! Lahat ginawa ko na maibalik lang yung dati pero hindi siya nakikipag cooperate! Damn.

"You know what? I'm tired of this. I  had enough Elis." Lumapit ako sakanya at hinarap siya sa akin. "Why are you doing this? Do you want me to look stupid infront of you?"

"Alex, I'm--"

Pinutol ko na ang sasabihin niya, this is my time now.

Tumawa ako ng pilit. "Haha. Are you happy now Elis? Seeing me like a fool who did everything just to gain your forgiveness? What have I done Elis? Is that so that you didn't even try to talk to me and to listen with my explanations?" Ngumiti ako ng mapait sakanya.

"Alex."

"Let me explain myself. I'm with Terrence and Louie that night and we go to the bar. Is that clear now?" I asked. Naramdaman ko siyang humihikbi. And now she's crying? After what she've done?

"Alex, I'm sorry." She looked at me in the eyes and I can see her sincerity.

"I'm sorry too Elisha, but I'm done with my part. Ginawa ko na lahat but it seems it doesn't even work. I'm sorry too Elis but I need to rest." Bintiwan ko na siya at humakbang papalayo, I can still hear her sobs. God knows how much I wanted to hug her and tell her everything's going to be alright. But, I'm just a person here. Marunong din ako mapagod. Ultimo puso ko, nadurog.

I'm packing my thing when I hear the door open. At niluwa niyon si Elis, namumugto ang mga mata nitong lumapit sa akin at yumakap sa likod ko. 

"I'm sorry Hubby, you don't need to do that. Don't leave me here. Please." Pagmamakaawa niya, and WHAT?! HUBBY?!

"What did you say?" Umikot ako para magkaharap kami.

"I'm sorry Hubby, don't go." I smile in the atmosphere, she just called me Hubby! Hahaha

"Are you really want me to stay here?" I asked at tumango naman siya ng tumango habang nakayap sa akin. "Why?"

"Alex." tumingala naman siya sa akin and we stare on each other's eyes for a second. I grab her wait and pull her closer to me. God, heaven!

"Tell me why." I hugged her while waiting for her response. "Elis?"

"I don't want to miss you, I want you always beside me. But you know, everytime I ignore you my heart aches and I don't know what I am going to do.. I'm so fool of not listening to you that night at ako pa ang ganang magalit ng ganito sa'yo. I'm really not sorry for what I've done, because without that kind of argument.. I won't be able to feel this kind of feeling, the feeling that I don't even know if there's going to be a destination. I don't care if you didn't feel the same but I am ready to take the risk just for you. Hihi Nahihiya talaga ako." She giggled. Lumayo ako at tinignan siya eye to eye. I want her to spill it, I want to hear it.

"Tell me, what you're feeling Elis."

"I think .. I.."

"I?"

"I think I..Love..You.." Then she looked down.

*DUG..DUG..DUG*

My heart really beat that fast, I don't know what to say. I'm just so happy that I can't even say a word. I look at Elis and she just smile. Oh, how I miss that smile!

"What did you say?" Bakit ba? Gusto kong marining eh!

"I love you."

"Ano ulit?"

"So ano yan Alex? Kailangan pa ulit ulit?" She asked with a smile.

"So Alex na hindi na hubby?"

"Hindi na." sabi niya. Aalis na sana ako pero pinigilan niya ako at niyakap. "Ito namang hubby ko masyadong matampuhin. Syempre hubby pa din. I love you hubby, so much." She said while looking in my eyes. I can see my life in the future with her. It's now or never so i need to Spill out my feelings too.

"I love you too Wifey." I smile. Mukha naman siyang gulat na gulat sa narinig niya but before she can even react I pull her to a kiss. A kiss that gone wild..

After that passionate encounter, we just looked in each other's eyes. We're sitting in our bed and resting my head on the pillow while she's in my shoulder. I'm holding her waist while she's hugging me. I feel comfortable with this, chillin' beside my lovely wife.

"Hindi ka na aalis dba?" She asked out of the blue that made me smile.

"Mukha pa ba akong aalis nito?" She looked at me and she gave me her very sweet smile.

"Mukhang hindi na nga." We both laughed.

"Do you trust me?" Ako naman ang nagtanong out of the blue. HAHA EWAN KO BA!

"Yes." She whisper

"Gaano naman kalaki yung trust mo sa akin?" Nagulat ako ng biglang tumayo si Elis at pumunta sa bintana. Hinawi niya ang kurtina at lumingon sa akin.

"Do you see that tall builing?" Sabay turo sa ppinakamataas na builing na nakikita ko. I nodded at her and smile. "Ganyan kalaki este kataas ang tiwala ko sa'yo ngayon Alex! No one can explain my feelings on you. So, if there's a conflict between us, our relationship.. I'm just going to listen on you."

Sa sobrang ganda ng pagpapaliwanag niya kahit tinanong ko lang naman kung gaano siya nagtitiwala sa akin eh nagmadali akong lumapit sakanya at hinila siya para yakapin. Kita mo nga naman, Fate is so unpredictable. Isang babae na nakabunngo ko sa bar na out of curiosity ay naging Fiancee ko. I'm so blessed, hindi ko alam kung anong kabutihan ang nagawa ko noon para mabigyan ako ng ganito kagandang blessing.

"I love you." I said while looking at her with a smile.

"I love you too." She answered back and We smiled at each other.

"Being with her is the best thing ever and loving her? That's what I'll do forever."
