Austin's POV
We finally made it back to the Optic house and I flopped down on my bed. For some reason all I could think about was what would happen if I lost the tournament tomorrow. What if I was off my game and I let the team down. Needless to say,  I didn't get much sleep that night. I got up in the morning and slid out of bed. After showering and getting dressed, I checked with the guys then called an Uber. We arrived at the center we were at yesterday.
"Do you think that girl from yesterday is working today?" Scump wondered.
"Who knows," I replied. We got to our places 2 hours early so we had some time to sit around and do whatever we wanted. I began to wander the building and picked a empty area to sit and think. The thoughts from last night reappeared.
"Dammit," I whispered.
"You alright?" someone asked. I looked up to see (f/n).
"Uh, I think so, yeah," I smiled. She sat down next to me and took out her phone.
"To be truthfully honest,  I'm having second thoughts about this tournament,"I sighed.
"What do you mean?" she questioned.
"Well, what if I'm the reason we lose, or what if I'm not at my best and I can't hit a single person, what if I lose this for everyone and let them down...." I trailed off.
"Austin?" she smiled.
"Hm?" I hummed.
"Wouldn't you like to live a life of 'oh wells' and not one of 'what ifs'?" she asked. I looked at her and I smiled like an idiot.
"Yeah, that'd be great," I laughed.
"Then don't think about what if something bad happened, think about when you will win the tournament,  think about how happy you'll be," she told me.
"Thank you," I smiled.
"Anytime, now,  you better get going,  you don't wanna be late," she waved. I stood up and headed toward the tournament hall.
"Austin!" she yelled after me. I turned and waited for her to continue.
"Keep dreaming because the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams," she finished. I couldn't help myself and I ran back to her. I caught her in a bear hug and thanked her as I let go.
"Now go on, win that tournament!" she giggled. I ran towards the hall and opened the door. As I walked out onto the stage I began to think again,  but this time, no more 'what ifs'. Only the future was on my mind,  the future where we held that trophy,  with huge smiles on our faces.
