Spencer's POV
"Mom," Sophie said. "I've been looking for you everywhere,"
"Well, you found me," I said. "Are you having fun?"
"Yeah, are you?" Sophie asked, eyeing Lilli.
"Yeah, we've been having ups and downs," I gave a half laugh. "Oh, right," I forgot that Lilli and Sophie don't know each other. "Sophie, this is Lilli. Lilli, this is Sophie,"
"Hi," Sophie said.
"Hi," Lilli replied.
There was an awkward silence before I spoke. "Do you guys want some food?" I asked.
Sophie shrugged. "Sure,"
"I could eat," Lilli added.
"I'll go get us some pizza, that ok?" I offered. They both nodded. And I walked off hoping that they could get to know each other while I was gone.

Sophie's POV
why was my mom hanging out with this Lilli person. I don't get it.
"So, how do you know my mom," I asked, trying to fill the silence but also gathering important information.
"I literally ran into her," Lilli answered.
"Why are you two hanging out?" I continued.
"She's helping me find my birth mother," Lilli answered again.
"Why?!" I was hurt now. My mom was hanging out with some stranger instead of me.
"I don't know. we bonded, I guess," Lilli replied.
"You bonded?! With my mom?" I asked, but I already knew the answer.
"Umm. Yeah?" Lilli could tell I was hurt by her answers.
I glared at her and started to walk away. I know I was overreacting but I didn't care. "Tell my mom, I went to hang out with someone who actually wants to hang out with me,"

Lilli's POV
I felt really bad about letting Sophie walk off Like that, but I knew that Sophie was just jealous that I get to hang out with her mom more than she has. I knew that Spencer could probably patch things up with her.
"Where'd Sophie go?" Spencer asked as she came back.
I winced. "She told me to tell you that she was going to hang out with someone who actually wants to hang out with her," I said.
"What?" Spencer looked heartbroken.
"Don't look at me! Your the one who's neglecting her," I said.
"Neglecting her?" Spencer asked.
"She's obviously feeling like you don't care about her anymore," I explained.
"Why would she think that?" Spencer asked.
"I don't know! I'm not her mother!"
Spencer slammed her palm to her face and sighed. "She told me before she left that she wanted to spend more time with us," Spencer let out a cry. "I'm a horrible mother!"
"Well, maybe instead of standing here moaning about it, you should do something?" I offered.
Spencer looked up and gave me a sad smile. "When did you get so smart?" She said before she ran off after he daughter.
I couldn't help feeling a pang of jealousy that Spencer cared so deeply for her daughter.
