Laura's POV
I thought I had told that Spencer to stay away from my daughter, yet here Lilli is telling me she wants to go back to her.
"Mom, look. Spencer loves me." Lilli's said.
"No." I said. "I love you. Spencer barley knows you. Doesn't she know what your allergies are? Favorite foods? What to get you for your birthday? Favorite colors?"
"Ok, I get it. But she is still going to fight for custody. And I still want her to win." Lilli admitted. "It's all a process. And this is what I want. I'll still be able to see you and I'll still love you. But I want to be with my real mother."
"I am your real mother! I love you!" I lied.
My wife had died 10 years ago, when Lilli was five. She was the one who really wanted children, that why we had adopted Lilli. I had never actually love Lilli. But I couldn't give her away after my wife does because people would think I'm some mean child hater. So I made a deal with the devil. I sold Lilli. Once she turns 17 she's no longer mine and she can't bother me with any business.
Anyway, my plan would be ruined and i would have to pay money.
"Mom, i get it. But this is what we came to California for." No it isn't.
I sighed. "You can fight but you can't win," I promised and got up to order another martini.
While I was drinking I made a few phone calls and hired some really talented lawyers. I was ready for this!

Spencer's POV
"Hey, Lilli," I greeted as she walked towards me and Toby.
"Hey," she said.
"This is Toby," I introduced. "He's... Your father," Toby smiled at Lilli.
"Hi." She said.
"Hi." He replied.
This was awkward.
"So, um. How's it going?" Toby asked, awkwardly.
"Good... I guess. You?" She answered, awkwardly.
"Good."
"Ok, so," I cut in breaking the silence. "I've looked at some lawyers that I think would be great for this case,"
Tony and Lilli looked at my computer screen where I had pulled up a list.

2 hours later we had settled on a lawyer and had scheduled to meet with him.

"Wow." Aria said, after I had  explained the story to her, Hanna and Emily (who already knew most of it).
"We're happy for you, Spencer," Emily said.
"Yeah," Hanna and Aria agreed.
