Sophie's POV
am I hearing this right? My parents had just said that I was a younger sister to Lilli. Wow. Ok.
"Seriously?" I asked.
"Yeah," I said, slowly.
"Um. I don't know what to say," I admitted.
"Are you upset?" My mom asked, nervously.
"No. I don't think so. It's just a lot," I said.
"We know. We get it." My dad said.
Lilli's POV
I was walking back from the pool when I heard someone shout my name.
I turned. Sophie? Last time we talked it didn't go so well. I wonder if she knows about me yet...
"Hey," I greeted.
"Hi." She said. Sophie looked a lot like me. I hadn't noticed that before, probably because I wasn't looking for it.
We both had Spencer's hair, cheeks, and nose but we also both had Toby's endless blue eyes.
"I know. About you." She answered the question I was dying to ask.
"Oh." I said, not sure what else to say.
"Are you mad at me or something?" I asked.
"No. No. Why would I be? It's not your fault our parents didn't use protection," she half laughed.
"That's disgusting." I said, and half laughed too.
"Do you.. Want to go for a swim together?" She asked.
I smiled. "I would love to."
We spent the rest of the day splashing in the pool and drinking virgin cocktails. It was really nice. I felt like we really bonded as siblings. 😊
