Helping Adam with Olivia

Cora's POV

"Thank you so much for doing this for me." Adam says to Jason and I. Tonight we were babysitting Olivia. It's not that she wasn't responsible, it's just the Adam doesn't like it when she's alone, to many people are out to get her. We had planned on doing the cops and robbers today, but as it turned out, Adam had plans. We ended up rescheduling it for tomorrow.

"It's no problem, it's a pleasure to spend time with her. She's a darling girl." I reply. I really did love Olivia. She's been through so much. From kidnappings to losing Dawn (which was hard on all of us) to losing an eye. She was so brave, and she strong.

"I could always just stay home alone you know." Olivia said with a huff.

"Yes, you could. But that would put you in harms way, which is why you won't." Sky says firmly. Olivia mumbled something about freedom and sky stares her down, kisses her forehead, and then leaves.

"You want to know what it's like to have freedom?" I whisper in her ear.

"Yeah! What do you have in mind?" She asks me eagerly.

"Hold on, what are you two planning?" Jason asks.

"Well, I was thinking that we could use my old four wheeler and go four wheeling back in you alls woods."

"Oooh! That sounds great!" Olivia squeals. I've never been on one of those before.

"But there is only one helmet, and Olivia should use it. And I'm not letting you ride that thing without a helmet." Jason states.

"I'll be fine-"

"No, I'll go, you can stay here while I take Olivia for the ride." I walk up to him and stand on my toes so we are face-to-face. He closes his eyes and leans into me embracing me with his arms. He kisses me softly and I feel like I could fly. The kiss would have been longer except that I remembered that Olivia was there and I didn't want to scar her for life.

I broke the kiss and handed Jason the keys and Olivia the helmet.

"Okay, now Jason don't like, destroy my four wheeler. And Olivia, have fun." I say with a smile.

"Kay. Jason, get this thing going!" Olivia says with excitement in her voice.

I watched as they drove down into the field ad watched them drive into the tall grass, I looked ahead a bit and there appeared to be a rock in their path.

"Jason!" I yell, "Jason, change your course, there's a rock directly-" I didn't have time to finish my sentence.
