"Renée stop!"

"What?!"

I stale faced her "If you want some pineapples, get some from the fridge. Not from my bowl."

She huffed. "I don't feel like gettin' up."

I raised my eyebrow "Hm. Not my problem."

She pouted before rolling her eyes.

"So how are you and Jalen?" I asked

"We're cool. His little brother is so cute. He really be trynna' spit game on Kass."she laughed

I chuckled "How old is he again."

"Fourteen."

I slowly nodded and finished my bowl. I felt the couch dip on the other side of me and I turned seeing Chandra.

"Wassup ChaChaCha." I smirked.

"Ayeee, its lil baby's dirty thirty. " Renée yelled making Cha laughed

"Thank you thank you."

"Happy Birthday again boo. The girls still goin to that sleep over tonight?" I asked.

She nodded and sighed "Yeah, I miss em' already." she pouted

"Girl stop bein such a mom." Renée joked

I laughed "Yeah, you get a break today. After we do fireworks....I don't know what Aug planned but I guess its gonna be something fun." I shrugged standing up as they followed.

"I can't wait until Tima comes." Cha smiled but Renée coughed but I ignored it.

"Callie mom right?" I asked

Renée coughed again and I looked at her.

"You okay?"

She drunk out of a water bottle side-eyeing me but nodded. "Mhm."

I looked at her a little longer before looking back at Chandra.

"So Cha, you like strawberries right?"

"Love em'." she smiled "Why?"

I shrugged "Nun."

She paused and quickly took her phone out.

"Shit. I gotta go yall, I'll see yall after I leave school "

"Make me proud." I yelled after her

"Okay!"

I noticed Renée smiling at her phone and rolled my eyes waiting for her to grab her purse. As if on que, with iut looking up she grabbed her purse and looked at me.

"Yeah yeah, Jaylen calls you go, have fun." I gave her a closed smile.
