Today Aug was taking me to a Carnival. I was excited because I haven't been to one in a very long time.

I was already dressed but couldn't decide which shoes I wanted to wear. I stood in the middle of my closet and looked at all of my shoes. I kept my shoe boxes stacked while my shoes laid on the floor. My dad always did that with his shoes. I started to grab a pair of shoes I liked that was on a shelf but couldn't even reach it.

"Ugh" I groaned standing on my toes.

"Amari babyeh is you re- whatchu' doin?" He asked quickly coming inside next to me.

I sighed and pointed at the pair of shoes. "I can't reach them."

"Oh." He stated before easily grabbed them and gave them to me.

I smiled "Thanks" my smile slowly faded but didn't go away fully as I looked at his face.

"Wassup with you? You look deep in thought" I said playfully pushing his arm.

He looked down at me "Nothin, you good? Ready to go?"

I nodded "Yeah soon as I put my shoes on..."

He nodded "Okay well I'll be waitin' in the room."

I nodded and started to slip my shoes on.

"Okay I'm ready, Cha and the girls already gone?"

"Yeah they left."

Chandra took the girls to the water park since she didn't have school.

"Well, let's go." I smiled and pulled his hand

"Come ooooon Aug. Don't tell me your scared." I teased smiling

He smacked his lips and started to walk towards the ride.

Getting off the ride I couldn't stop laughing at all.

"Mama! Mama!" I mocked before falling out laughing again. I had to catch myself from falling on the ground.

"Man Mari chill." He rolled his eyes

I hugged him sideways and pouted at him.

"Awe were you that scared?"

My laughter died down seeing him glaring. I followed where he was looking and seen a boy glaring at him. The boy caught me looking at him and grinned before winking.

I frowned and mugged him not seeing why his ugly ass winked at me. Especially now that I realized he had a girl on his arm.

"Baby who is that?"

August looked down at me "Just some nigga I had beef with. Whatchu' wanna do next?"

I looked at him for a moment but decided to let it go for now "Hmmm, how about that roller coaster over there." I pointed at the rollercoaster that had multiple loops.
