♦Aphmau's POV♦

Hello. My name is Aphmau Phoenix and I live in the village of Phoenix Drop in the region of Ru'Aun. I am the daughter of the lord and I am 16 years old. I also am part wolf! I have gray wolf ears and a tail. I am very loyal and trustworthy to the people of this village. But what they don't know, is that I am friends with a thief. His name is Laurance and we've been friends for a long time. We met in the woods a few years ago. Ever since then, we've been really close. And every night, I go out to see him in the woods. We normally hang out and stuff. But today he was going to take me someplace special.

I didn't know what this place was going to be. He just said he was going to take me someplace awesome. And I was excited about that!

That night, I snuck out of my house to meet him in the forest.

When I got there, he greeted me with a smile.

"Hey, Aph." He said.

"Hi, Laurance! So...where was that place you were gonna take me?" I asked.

"Oh yeah. Follow me." He stood up and began walking. I followed him.

About a half hour of walking later, he stopped.

"Okay, here we are." He said.

We were right in front of a hidden portal.

"Whoa, is this a portal? Where does it lead?" I asked.

"Someplace really cool! I'll show you."

He took my hand and walked through it. I was right behind him.

When we were in the dimension, I gasped when I saw a huge tree. Bigger than any tree I had ever seen. And we were on a island in the middle of the sky.

"Whoa...what is this place?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. I just found the portal while walking around and checked it out. I seems pretty cool though, huh." Laurance said.

"It's amazing! I love it!" I yelled.

"I was planning on climbing it. Wanna?" He asked. I gasped.

"Yes! Let's do it!"

We ran over to the tree to climb it. But before I did, I stopped and looked at a carving in the tree that said 'L + A' with a heart around it.

"Laurance, what's this?" I asked with a sigh.

"Huh? Oh! Heh, it's um, nothing. Just ignore it." He said.

"Well in any case...race you to the top!" I yelled as I began climbing up the tree.

"Hey! No fare, you got a head start!" He started climbing behind me as I giggled.

After half an hour, I finally got to the top! I sat on a tree branch and waited for Laurance.

"How...did you...do that...so fast?" He asked between breaths. He sat down beside me.

"Hehe! I've always been great at climbing trees. I'm surprised you didn't win though. You're a thief!" I said.

"Heh, yeah. I was never that great at climbing trees." He said. I giggled.

I looked at the rising sun in front of us. It was beautiful and the view was amazing!

"Wow...this view is beautiful..."

"Yeah, it is..."

"Laurance, I'm glad you're my friend. I don't care if your a thief. You're the best friend I've ever had! And only..." I said.
