Chapter 29: Confession

"So what are we doing here again?" I asked as Harry and I entered the boy's gym locker room. We're skipping PE class just to make this plan that Harry think of.
"Shhhh." He shushes, as he put his forefinger on his lips. "we're going to make them pay for messing with my best bud." he whispered and a smug grin appeared on both of our faces. He went to Luke and Calum's locker while I guarded the door. He surely waited for the lads to go into the shower room before we start our prank. He put their clothes in his bag and signal me that he's done. I giggled quietly and we tiptoed to get out of the locker room. But when we were about to get to the door, the shower room's double doors open revealing Luke and Calum half naked. And that made both of us run. We laughed as we both running through the hall with the two boys shouting behind us. "Hey! Stop you two!"
They didn't stop chasing us until we reach the end of school's football field. We have no choice but to jump off the fence, so we did. I'm the first one to jump off then Harry's next.
"Wow! You're way better ninja than I am." Harry joked as we keep running from school.
"That's because I'm not a ninja! I'm a wizard!"
We stop running when we reach the park with our non stop laughter and heavy breathing. Once we both calm ourselves, we sit on the ground and look at the sky. I can see that it's about to rain considering the dark clouds that covering the whole sky.
"So we're skipping the class?" I asked and diverted my gaze to Harry, only to see a cheeky smile on his face.
"Who cares? It's Monday anyways!"
"You're a bad ass Ninja!"
"And you're a nerdy wizard prankster."
"Hey!" I hit his arm, pretending to be offended but soon laughed along with him. Suddenly, his laughs died, making me stop as well, and look at him. I frowned when I see his eyes widen, as if he was observing something he can't believe. I followed his gaze, and my eyes matched his when I saw Angel making out with Justin on the bench a few meters away from us. Oh fuck! This is bad.
Harry stood up from the ground, and I following the suit. He walks over to where Angel and Justin at, and surprisingly, he swing his fist onto Justin's face making Angel and I let out a high pitch shriek.
His fist came contact with Justin's face multiple times while shouting a bunch of profanities at him. Angel tried to stop him and to my surprise I help her. We pulled Harry away from Justin while Angel helping him to get up and I tried to stop Harry by gripping his arm.
"You fucking traitor! I can't believe I trusted you!" He shouted and forcefully yank his arm out of my grip before charging to Justin. But before he could make a step closer, Angel shielded herself.
"You're the one who keep fitting yourself into her! You're just a piece of-" Justin shouted but shushed by Angel.
"Just clean yourself and wait for me baby." he did what Angel told him like a dog. Leaving the three of us standing in the middle if the park.
"Why are you doing this?" Harry hissed. And by this time, droplets of cold water came down from the sky.
"How long have you been doing this? How long have you been cheating on me?" His voice croaked at the end, indicating he was crying. I'm too shock from what was happening, so I just stand there and watch them, speechless.
Angel looked down. "Since the day we've started dating."
"And you didn't tell me? All this time, you just make me look like a fool?"
"How am I supposed to tell you when you're too suffocating me?"
"By that means you have to keep it away from me by fucking my friend behind?" He retorted and I can feel the range radiating in him as he spoke. Angel look down and just silence herself.

Cold droplets of water from the dark-grayish sky run down my skin, making my hair and clothes get soak. I'm sure I'll catch a cold after this, but that's the last thing I would care about. The only matters to me right now, is the broken curly haired boy who's standing in front of me. Even though his back was facing me, I can practically see the pain on his face, making more tears spill out of my eyes.
I always hurt to see his heartbreak.. And I would always blame myself for this, even though his the one who caused it to himself. We're just the same. We're both fool's gold.
He was facing the girl that once he told me 'The girl that he loved', with his clenched fist. There's a thick tension between the three of us, and the only sound that being heard around, was his heavy breathing. But not until she break it.
"I'm sorry." She apologized one last time, before pulling out the ring on her ring finger, and throwing it on the ground. With one last glance, she walk away, leaving me and my best friend standing in the middle of the rain..
He was silent for a moment, before he turn around and walk away. But before he could leave the park, I hurriedly run behind him.
"Harry! Where are you going?!"
"

Not now Heather! Just leave me alone!" He continued to walk fast, but I caught his arm to stop him.
"Please stop making yourself like this! Stop being pathetic! She isn't worth it! She's been doing this to you in the whole time! Why'd you have-"
"Woah. Wait? Did you know about this?"
And that made my mouth shut. I feel like a cat got my tongue as I can't form a proper words.
"So you knew? You've been keeping this from me this whole time! What kind of a friend are you?" His eyes were no longer a shades of jade. They were darken and match the colour of the sky above us.
"That's the problem Harry! i'm just a friend to you! I love you! I'm deeply in love with you!" I gasped as I just realize what I said. Oh my God. Did I just confessed it to him?
"If you love me, you wouldn't keep this away from me... You made me look like a fool."
"You're the one who's making yourself a fool! You're pathetic!" I retorted and bawled my fist.
"Fuck you! You know what? We're over! Whatever we had? Just forget it! I don't want you to be my friend ever again."
And that made my heart shattered. He wanted to end everything between us. My worst nightmare came true. He ended something what's left for us.
For some unknown reason, his eyes soften and it looks like he regretted everything he said.
"Okay. If that's what you want."
I hope he would stop me from walking away. I'm hoping he would engulf me in hug and apologize for what he said. But from what I expect, he just watched me run away.
