Aaron's POV

Ears perked I watched the bushes for any sign of movement as a young female and male stepped out. They smelled distinctly pack and looked to be unfriendly. This must be a territory and that'd mean I'm the one whose trespassing and in clear violation.

The female sniffed me and the male let out a warning growl. Deciding to shift back I put on a pair of shorts, "Alright let's get this over with. Come on and shift so we can talk."

The male complied and the female just sat down to watch us. He seemed like a decently reasonable guy if you ignored the growl in his voice as he talked, "Rogues aren't accepted here. You've crossed our borders."

Sighing I met his gaze, "I am not a rogue, I am just passing through."

He seemed unconvinced, "Then where's your pack?"

"Tribe, I'm kinda with the dragons right now but I guess I haven't really separated with my pack..." I showed him the mate mark that Aeriella had branded into me through blood.

He still seemed unconvinced but I spotted Aeriella circling back, "Ah there's my lovely mate now. Good timing dear."

The male rose an eyebrow but seemed convinced when she wrapped her tail around to the other side of me. She seemed to be warning them away but I just shook my head, "I've got this love."

She didn't seem so keen on backing off but did once I scratched under her chin. Ah so that's one spot, I'd be happy to find more later...

Turning my attention back to the wolves infront of me I grinned, "So you'll probably be seeing me a lot of me from now on I hope that won't become a problem for the near future and if so I'm sure we can come to an agreement. I'd be happy to speak to your Alpha if need be."

The male seemed to be considering my proposition for a few moments before the female bumped him and nodded in the direction of the horizon to the East. Knowing it was probably the direction of their Alpha I turned to Aeriella, "Sorry but we'll have to make a detour on our way back. You're not in too much of a hurry, are you?" She huffed and gave me a look saying she was. I grinned, "Well it shouldn't take too long. He probably already knows the situation."

She nosed me then took off with a big flap of her large white wings. Shaking my head at the resulting gust of wind I shifted then followed the two wolves. They lead me over more expanses of vast grasses and into a tall forest where a small village rested I was made to shift then dress as the alpha came out.

Expecting one alpha sI was surprised when two came out. There was an older one with greying hair and a younger one with an unsure gaze followed by a confident posture. My guess: he's in training under the older alpha. Nodding to them in greeting I smiled, "Lovely day."

The older one nodded, "It is. Mind telling me what you're doing here young man."

It wasn't a question but I decided to answer him anyway, "I was just passing through. I'm here with my lovely mate, who just happens to be circling above, and we were making a business run to one of the places in her territory"

I flashed my mating mark and they nodded. The older wolf seemed more calm but the younger wone seemed confused "How is a dragon mated to a wolf? Aren't you supposed to be mated to a female of your own species?"

I shrugged, "I guess I'm just one of the lucky few that geets to have a female of another species and as far as the mating goes we retain human skins."
